You can't really ask for much more when it comes to a flat packed literature/paper organizer. This is sturdy, easy to assemble, and attractive enough. It has a woodgrain texture to it which can be a pro or a con depending upon your taste.The instructions are easy to understand. I did however, miss that there are two little holes in BACK center of the top and bottom of the unit. When I put it together I initially had one of them backwards and had to take 4 screws out, flip the peace and reassemble it. I was worried it might loose some structural integrity after removing the screws and replacing them, so I put a thin bead of clear glue across each edge and in the screw holes.It is nice that the shelves are painted across the front side as some similar products leave the bare mdf across all sides of the shelves. I also like that the shelves slide in once it is put together. Some have the pieces slide in from the back and then they are permanently in place once the back is screwed on. Some people might like this because it prevents them from coming out. I prefer to be able to slide them in and out like drawers if I wish. It also allows you to remove one or two if you happen to have a particularly large stack of something you wish to store in the unit.Paper fits horizontally in this shelf. So, if you put a school notebook in it the spiral would go to the left or right. This seems a bit irregular as most of these little shelves show the spines of magazines or notebooks. I am a fan of this configuration and always try to find sorters that are deeper than they are wide. I felt it is something to note because the images look wider. The measurements are accurate in the photos, but the perspective of the photos is a little tricky.There are no awful smells associated with this.I was frustrated by the tiny loose balls of styrofoam that came out of the package. They stuck to everything and were difficult to remove...spreading around more and more and more... I did assemble this in winter, but it was winter in Georgia, not winter in Minnesota. Anyone assembling this in a dry climate be ready with a vacuum, especially if you have pets that might inhale the little pieces.$40 is about what I would expect to pay for something that is as sturdy as this is. I got something similar in a 12x12 size at our craft store for the same price. It is a decent value, $35 seems about right, so $40 to have it delivered to your home is a decent deal.

This was super easy to assemble, and looks nice, except the screws don't have covers so I'll probably paint over them so they aren't as obvious and it's functional. It holds a decent amount of paper and doesn't take up too much space.

Best packaged assembly item I’ve received from Amazon in a long time! Good quality, easy to assemble, extra screws and easy to understand instructions. If you can survive IKEA instructions, you’re good to go with this one.

I am very impressed with this! I love that the shelves can be changed to fit what my needs are. It was very easy to put together and it is very sturdy! I am impressed with the build quality of this! I use it on my desk to keep files and binders clean and organized!

This mail or documents sorter is made of decent quality particle board and feels quite solid and sturdy. It was easy to assemble, but required a little more effort than usual in placing the screws. The particle board is quite solid, and where cheaper pieces would use finishing nails, this product has actual screws. I'd estimate that assembly took me 30 minutes, but I was multi-tasking. The photo is immediately after assembling.It also comes with a canvas or fabric pouch that bolts (again, a cheaper product might have used velcro or the like) to the side.It's stable enough that I'm giving serious thought to placing my color laser printer atop it. It's honestly kind of impressive how much it feels like a real piece of furniture.All of that said, as I type this item is listed for $40. That seems expensive to me. I'm not going to dock it a star, but I am going to recommend, if time is not an issue, waiting for some type of sale.

I wanted a little shelf that could sit on my bookshelf and hold some of my smaller silicone molds. This is beyond perfect for what I needed. The shelf is well made and super easy to put together. The backing isn't that really thin stuff you usually see on shelves like this and actually needed screws instead of those little nails to secure. The entire shelf is solid/sturdy. I love that I can remove the shelves themselves if I need more room for something. I do plan on getting more of these as I need more space for the molds.
