This will be my third one in 30 years. It is just as good as a regular full clothes line, but it’s retractable and we can get it o ut of the way when we want to work or play in the yard. If you do the pole right, you can also make that so it’s removable. It’s like there isn’t even a clothes line there. They are awfully sturdy. I’d still have my last one, but asked my son to tighten some loose lines and he tried to do it from the retractable end instead of the other end and totally messed up the machinery. Do not mess with the retraction assembly— EVER.

The retractable clotheslines do not seem to be very durable. They look like they could break very easy. Not as sturdy as my old ones, but then nothing is made like it used to be!

Es muy práctico y estético porque es retráctil. Hasta ahora resistente. Fácil de instalar para alguien que sabe. Se me hizo un poco caro, por eso considero que la relación calidad-precio es 4 estrellas.

I am a father of 6 and we have a tone o laundry. Nothing is worse for my wife than waiting for the dryer to complete a cycle so she can wash the next load, so I got her this for Christmas and she loves it. We use less electricity and get more wash done quickly due to this handy device. It was easy to install and has held up very well.

The clothes line was easy to install and stretches out the full 35 feet. Once the mechanism is in locked position, it maintains the line sufficiently tight to hang at least 2 loads of laundry (clothes and bedding). It is a bit weak on reeling in the 5 lines, but it works fine. I have used it for a year and it is still working fine. I like being able to put the lines away after the clothes are dry - keeping them from getting dusty and from deteriorating in the sunlight.

Excelente tendedero, resistente, aguanta bastante peso, somos 5 en casa y toda la ropa la aguanta perfectamente. No ha mostrado ningún deterioro a pesar de que está expuesto todo el día en un clima con veranos de más de 40 grados. Lo volvería a comprar, fácil de instalar y de usar, y además por un excelente precio!

This clothes line is so awesome! I love that when I’m finished with it, I just roll it back up and it is out of the way till I need it again. When fully extended you do have to hang clothes weighted evenly across all the lines so they don’t sag.This was so easy to install and super easy to use.I’ve had it a little over a month now and couldn’t be happier with it!

Not worth it! The first one shipped had a line fall off. It was returned and replaced. The next one worked, but the locking mechanism is cumbersome compared to the competitor (that this one replaced (Sunline)). The line was used every one to two weeks, so not heavy use, but after 8 months, it stopped holding the weight of the clothes. I thought I didn't properly lock the ratchet, so I tightened it. The clothes was being hung, and for a while it seemed OK, and again the line sprung loose and the clothes again went crashing to the ground. To give benefit of the doubt to the mechanism, I turned the ratchet lock tightly, and the line held more weight before the clothes again crashed to the ground. Stupidly, I repeated twice more to see if it was just something loose, and user error might be the problem. Nope!! It has a 60 day warranty, so no refund or replacement possible. I will go back to Sunline (now Household Essentials--theirs lasted years (>15 years--long enough for the line to start fraying)). I believe it had a 1 yr warranty.

Great product once you get it installed! The holes DO NOT line up with standard studs. Had to make a wood support to screw the line into then screw the lag screw into the wood and stud. Not sure why they would make the line that wouldn't fit with standard studs. The line itself is great. My lines were uneven meaning some were tight and some were loose. This didn't fix with tightening as the lines were not even. If you pull slightly on the loose lines a few times it fixes itself enough that you can then tighten the line with the knob. I only had to do this the first time and it has been fine every since. It's a great purchase one installed. I love it.

We bought this because we find the single lines that are permanently up unattractive and inefficient. We love that this can be retracted back so you only need the line out when you need it. It extends to over 30 feet but we have it set up to maybe about 12 feet, at first the lines were a little slack from not being at full extension but over time they have firmed up. Even at only 12 feet there is ALOT of line space.It is larger than I was expecting and cumbersome to install alone. But over all we are very very happy with it. When we inevitably move house again I am positive we will purchase another one.
