Birthday gift for 5 yr old granddaughter. She stopped opening presents to start using this. She had it all opened & was drawing pictures. The eraser is precious.I have now gotten one for great-granddaughter. Hope she likes as much as granddaughter did.

For the price, I'm impressed with how much they were able to stuff into this package. Not all of it is high-quality, but it's full of color and sparkles and stickers and UNICORNS. The smile it put on my daughter's face was definitely worth it.There are some nice quotes sprinkled in here and there, like "Believe in Yourself" on the cover of the journal.The journal itself has a "sturdy enough" cardboard cover, and the paper inside feels like regular printer paper.There are just a few pens, but one of them is also one of the highlights of the package: a unicorn-topped 6-color pen. I used to wish for one of the 4-color ones when I was little, and they didn't even have a unicorn or anything else on top! The colors don't all match their (I'll call them) triggers: the light blue trigger gives you dark blue ink, and the yellow one gives you green ink. No matter though, she loves it =)And the unicorn eraser... if it were the only eraser available to her, mistakes would never be corrected (There IS one pencil in the set, but you don't see it until you unpack the set because it's behind the journal). It's possibly the coolest eraser I've ever seen.There are other fun things in there as well, but beware, the glue feels like they glued it in. If whoever gets this set is going to use the box to store it you'll want to cut out part of the side where the glue sits because it is tight.Oh, one other thing about the journal. The "double spiral" the they use adds stability to the holes in the paper so they don't tear out as much on accident. It's not THE best quality set, but there are some well thought out features like that which help to make it a good deal.
