I bought this along with a bed tray for a friend who had major surgery and this bell is really cute. I wish it was louder since the purpose of it is to ring when she needs help. But it is loud enough when someone is listening out for the bell. She loved it.

This small piece was just the gift to place a smile on my niece's face. Though small in size, produces great sounds! Fun item you cheer up someone requiring a bell or simple collecting bells. Well-constructed Victorian style. Good value for the money.

This is a good bell, I got it as a joke when I got surgery. It's a good size, and lightweight. The sound quality of the bell is good and the bright colors are cute. Good value for the price.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who experienced a medical issue that makes mobility difficult. She doesn't have the loudest voice, and when she needs help she uses the bell to alert people in another room. The colors are vibrant and fun - and she's said that if she needs help calling out for help, this fun, colorful take on a hand held bell takes some of the frustration out of her current situation as just looking at it makes her smile.

I have broken so many bells. I am wheelchair bound & my caregivers take care of my huge house & household too. I am on Oxygen 24/7 so don't always have enough air to shout loud enough to be heard. Also am super low fixed income so I kept trying to go with some thrift shop ceraminc bell that barely made a sound or broke easily or had a loose clapper. I bought a silvery one on Amazon and the handle broke on it. I tried a little cheap ($14) amazon button and reciever and it dies within weeks as it played for 2 full minutes with every push but had no shut off so needed batteries every week and cost too much to use. I bought this bell because it was pretty but looked sturdy and was not breakable. To my delight the clapper inside is fixed on a spring so it makes no sound when picked up nor does it dangle where it could get damaged. It only makes a noise when it is rung on purpose and the sound is good and loud and clear! I am so grateful to have found this pretty, practical, sturdy, bell. I would buy it again, I would give it as a gift because it is also very pretty, and I can recommend it to you to buy too.

I bought this for my father to get my attention from the other room. It isn't very loud ... I often don't hear it (thank goodness my French Bulldog is on alert for anything related to my father, and will start prancing around if he hears my father ring the bell!). Very cute though!

The bell is small but colorful. It goes on my nightstand in case there's a physical emergency to get the attention of my husband (who doesn't hear that well) who's watching TV in the family room nightly can be alerted. My health is compromised right now, the TV is loud and my voice is soft (according to him).Pros: the bell is loud enough for him to hear it so I feel a greater sense of safety, "just in case". The fact that the bell is small means it takes up little room on the nightstand. Yay!Cons: only one, really. The bell doesn't hang freely, instead it's on a spring which has to be swayed with some strength. It won't bother most but takes a little "power" to get the bell to bang on the sides of the ringer. Note, I'm old, I'm weak and frail at the moment. This would not be an issue for 99% of people in my opinion.I DO recommend having a bell somewhere in case yelling at the top of your lungs isn't your "forté" either. My mother used to call all five of her children in for dinner by blowing a strong whistle and we all were instructed to drop whatever game we were doing outside immediately and running home. Yes, you could hear the thing all the way down the block. Dinner was a big deal, it was made as a labor of love and expressed with gratitude for the food itself in prayer of thanks with words to our mother for all her efforts on our behalf.
