I bought this to try to get rid of white rings on my table before I refinished it. It works for the most part, but it’s a lot of work and I couldn’t get the white rings to entirely magically disappear. The table looked better after using the product though.

The product is excellent. I was surprised though to discover the next week I could have purchased if for much less at Home Goods.

This product once opened was dry yet waxy it did not treat white marks and was totally ineffective. When i requested a refund as it is useless the item was "NON RETURNABLE" Honestly do not bother buying I bought a cloth with the same claim from Lakeland and it worked a treat. This product is awful

Used on a John Lewis Calia desk made of natural oak with light, relatively recently made white water marks. Perfect removal of the marking within 5 minutes. Easy to use, would definitely recommend.

Does not work at all. It’s makes the table shine due to its oiliness but does not even somewhat fade the rings.

I tried to cover the stain, but that didn't work. I bought this and followed the rules I read on the internet, and its gone. And I mean gone. Just a little of muscle and continue to do it till removed. Only about 15 minutes for me. Love it. Love it.

I normally don’t take the time to write a review but in this case it is more than warranted. The story starts off with me doing something stupid.(good stories usually do)I put a hot plate out of the microwave down on my coffee table. After a while I removed the plate and viola a deep ugly white ring burned into the coffee table! Ugh!After several minutes of self loathing I set out to right my wrong!First I looked at solutions, home iron, olive oil and vinegar (which i did use and did nothing) I needed professional help! So went to google, all kinds of these one use cloths for just my problem. Admittedly I wanted to get it local, tried Walmart and Home Depot both not in stock must order and ship $25 minimum shipping. Then I tried amazon, should have right from the start! Cheaper than Wally and free prime ship. I apologize to everyone for checking it last but success! So two days later the package arrived. I cleaned my ugly white ring with regular cleaner 409 I think. Dried the area. And opened the package! So basically the product is a tack emery cloth treated with a polishing compound. Not very impressive at first sight. The cause of a white ring on furniture is usually by water or heat burning moisture into the finish. So I commenced my project....I worked in a small area about an inch long going back and forth with the wood grain for about 3 minutes and OMG I saw fading of the ring!!!!So I worked and worked about a 3 inch section for about 10 minutes and had dimininished that section by 90%!I countinued on the rest of the ring overall taking about 45 minutes. Yes it takes time and YES I definitely works. The science behind the magic I’m assuming is a combination of the tack cloth type the polishing color mpound it’s soaked in and a lot of self created friction provided by yours truely. The friction created lifts out the moisture imbedded in the finish and the cloth and compound polished and finishes the area. Stupidly I did not take before and after pictures but it is 98% good as new. There was enough compound to give a quick treatment to the rest of the table fixing a light ring as well. Also I worked on another table we picked up at an auction. Which finished the top beautifully!!!!BUY THIS PRODUCT it’s fantastic!I’m sure there are types of finishes it may not work well on but for me it was fantastic!

Saved me a fortune. Our Teak dinning room table was definitely showing its age (32 years old) with numerous fine scratch marks; water rings and general drying and discoloration from decades in a sunny room. We were given a bid on restoring it like new with an added permanent finish. The asking price.....$1100.....($800 more than we paid for it in 1984). Decided it was time to try making repairs on my own. After watching numerous YouTube videos and googling restoring teak furniture, I happened to notice a suggestion in the "comments" portion that mentioned something called Homax White Ring Remover. Skeptical, I searched Amazon, found it was cheap and bought two cloths to try it out. Holy Moly was I ever shocked at how well it worked. It does require patience and a reasonable amount of elbow grease, but what the heck....it works. Is the table like new? Nope. It is darn pretty though, with the scratch marks made almost invisible, the white rings gone, and the surface now wonderfully bright and uniform. There are hints of some stains and Homax clearly states that deep stains won't come out....but they almost fade away....really. I wound up using 6 cloths for a 47x86 table. I don't think I spent more than 2 hours working to achieve great results. I wish that I had taken before and after photos. Oh well......at least I saved myself $1077. Now I have to google "permanent finishes".

I've sadly ruined my expensive office desk with a plant germination tray sitting on top of a seedling heat mat three years ago. The combination of the permeating moisture + heat devastatingly ruined the beautiful mahogany furniture. I had to hide the unsightly white marks with a desk calendar, and planned on getting the desk professionally refinished one day. I decided to buy the Homax White Ring remover thinking that it's cheap enough to try, yet assuming that it probably would not work. Well, today I'm so happy to learn that I was wrong! The product is a single shammy-like reusable cloth wet with oily/waxy solution that smells like a rawhide dog chew. The direction states "Rub gently with a clean cloth with the wood grain until white rings, marks and surface scratches disappear..." Initially, I did't think rubbing was making any difference, and then I noticed that some of the less prominent white marks started to disappear! I kept rubbing with increased pressure and then noticed that the cloth started turning darker with the furniture stain. The product actually takes off the discolored finish through a gentle solvent polishing action, and I had stop rubbing so hard in one area which started to get lighter in color. I finished off the project with and you can see the beautiful amazing result on my photo. I was able to fix another table ruined with a hot Domino's pizza box, and I can't believe that I was able fix both furniture with just a few dollars! I'm so delighted with the unexpected result!!!
