I ordered Holotap 50Pcs 65Oz Take Out Food Containers. my reviewexactly what I needed! The size is perfect for meal prep, leftovers, or takeout-style meals, and they stack neatly, which is great for storage. I like that they are microwaveable, grease-resistant, and freezer-safe, making them super versatile. The perforated lids are a nice touch, making it easy to tear open without a mess. Plus, they’re biodegradable and compostable, so they’re a more eco-friendly option. Overall, they work well for my needs and are a solid choice for anyone looking for sturdy, convenient, and eco-conscious food containers

I use these instead of my glassware when I am sending leftovers home to others. Good size. You would not want to put really slooshey foods in there (soups) as they do not seal tight. I would give 5 stars but the clasp is not really easy to use and does not seal really great. But I love not having to worry about getting my glassware back.

Let me preface this by saying that I’m not an expert in takeout boxes. I don’t work in the food industry and I got these for my own personal use. I do eat my fair share of takeout, though…and some of my takeout has been sent home with me in Kraft boxes similar to these. I will say this here: I generally find these types of takeout boxes not to be the most secure and they can be messy. I’ve had an few instances where the closing mechanism ripped or didn’t stay closed, so that by the time I got home, the boxes had popped open on top and my food was exposed. That said, these Kraft take-out containers are generally okay. They are a good size for a full meal and the coating on the inside ensures that gravies and sauces and grease don’t seep through the bottom. I like that these are microwavable as it saves me from having to wash more dishes. The latching mechanism to secure the boxes closed is interesting and a bit different from the ones I’ve seen on other takeout containers. This one seems like it will have a more secure hold when used…if you can get it to latch on, at all! I tried it on an empty box and found it awkward and difficult trying to get the latching mechanism/piece through the insert in order to secure the box closed. I was finally able to do so, but I had to stick my hand/fingers INSIDE the box to push the latch through. This would be very awkward and unhygienic if there had been food inside! ……But that’s just me. I’m not sure if others have/would have the same issue. Also, another thing that I’m not a big fan of is the two side folds for the box. They are perforated for you to fold them easier…and I suppose so that you can rip them off if you don’t want them (e.g., if they are getting in the way while you’re eating).. I find these folds to be too narrow/thin, so that even when the box is closed, it’s not really that closed…and food can squeeze out the sides since the side folds are so narrow and don’t do much to keep the food inside.I do like that the boxes come bagged inside a sturdy box so that they are not all smushed by the time they get to you. Also, the boxes come pre-assembled, so all you really need to do is fold the side flaps and close the top by latching the two top pieces together.Generally, I find these boxes to be okay as far as Kraft takeout boxes go. They aren’t as secure as plastic containers, of course, but they’ll do. If I can master how to get the boxes to close more easily using the latching mechanism, that would be even better. We’ll see…

This review is for: Holotap 50 Pcs 65Oz Disposable Kraft Paper To Go Containers With Lids,Microwaveable and Grease Resistant Cardboard Lunch Boxes,Meal Prep Containers Reusable for Restaurant, Kitchen, and PartyI read that these would be good for lunches and I thought they would seal better. They are just like take out containers, the top folds in. I wouldn't recommend using these for lunch unless you're 100% sure it won't tip over or you're taking a non greasy, dry lunch. Ie. Sandwich. These are, however, excellent for food prep/meal planning. You can certainly put a meal in one if these and store it in the fridge for a day or two. What I really like about these is, you can make meals or snacks for friends or neighbours and they don't need to return anything. These would also work very well for cookie exchanges. A dozen cookies would easily fit in one. You could even decorate the box if you choose or wrap with a festive ribbon.I could see putting a sandwich or charcuterie plate in one for picnic or road trips. These could even be used as a plate. If you packed up a car picnic meal in 4 containers you could bring empty containers as plates. If people don't finish what they took they can fold up their container and eat later. These have so many uses. With the added benefit of recyclable and disposable.I'm sure I'll find many ways to use these.

Bought these for home. The grown kids come for Sunday dinner and giving them take-home leftovers in a disposable container works perfectly!

These paper containers are great option for daily use, than plastic containers. I would definitely recommend it to use for sandwiches, salads, tacos etc.

I like sending visitors home with food after a gathering and these are a really great option. Not too much, nor too little. Great for sides and deserts. Price is a good match and shipping time was phenomenal.

Using these for large portions of fruit salad, was worried that the juices of the fruits would leak but to test it I put water in it and it held no problem, likely due to the wax like coating on the inside.

These takeaway containers aren’t the cheapest, but they are pretty nice. I’ve used them for greasy, oily and foods with higher moisture contents and haven’t had any issues with the container getting weak or bleed-through. I always like to keep these around for holidays or other gatherings to send leftovers home in. This way I don’t need to worry about other people’s glass or Tupperware type containers, and remembering whose is whose, and worse yet, staring at them gathering dust on a table waiting for the next time I see that person to bring them their stuff back. Investing in these makes all of that sooo much easier.I found the top closure a little awkward at first; you have to bend the sides first which are scored a bit, and then insert the triangular piece into the slot. I didn’t think it would close securely, but actually found it closed way more securely than your standard cereal box does. So this can take a little jostling in transit and still make it home without a mess. While the cardboard looks more ecofriendly, I’m not actually sure if it’s recyclable giving the coating on the inside of it. My hunch is no, since they tout in the listing that it is made from sustainable materials, so I imagine they’d state if it was. These are freezer and microwave safe, though I always re-plate to reheat anyway just to be safe. Or depending on the food, you can rip off the perforated lid, and eat the food cold from the fridge, which is more my husband’s style.Either way, these are great containers to keep tucked away as part of your entertaining arsenal. They give solid performance and are good for everyday use.

PROS:- We used them at the camp for Mac & Cheese, burgers, ribs and pretty much anything in between. Nice to have something with more structure than a paper plate.- Microwave-safe and Grease-resistance is not exaggerated, perfect for heating without leakage even for saucer items like wings and ribs.- Eco-friendly with no odor or taste transfer.- Smart extra feature I would not of thought to look for but now love; tear-off dotted edge, helped a ton for pasta/mashed potato's.- Excellent for sharing, partner and I sat a few of them between us *directly* on the very nice couch without hesitation. Each side had its own container, and watched a movie for our last meal at the camp of the season.CONS:- A little larger than some might need for single meals- Much more expensive than saran wrapping two paper plates together, Will be ordering more of these for next season anyway and I'm kind of mad about it.Overall, a sturdy, eco-conscious option that does what its supposed to well$38, November 2024

Sometimes I just don't want to wash tupperware, you know? I only have so much energy as someone with chronic illnesses, and sometimes a sink of dishes feels like the most impossible obstacle. These are a nice alternative for packing my leftovers or meals if I'm having one of those weeks and just can't spare the spoons to scrub some containers after I'm done with them. They work pretty well and I haven't had issues with spillage, or sauces seeping through. I wouldn't put liquid foods like soup in them, natch, but they hold up well to foods with sauce or gravy. Microwaving them works well, and they don't imprint any weird smells or tastes on the food. They fold closed and fasten with a tab, and generally stay closed---- they don't pop open of their own volition. Really no down sides to having these in my kitchen, they're great!

First and foremost, these aren't resealable, washable plastic storage containers. (Not sure if I'd get in trouble for dropping a brand-name.) Like the listing says, they're *disposable* containers made for *to go*/takeout meals. They could absolutely be used to hold prepped meals short-term, or to send party guests home with leftovers (as just one example) but they can't be washed and I wouldn't fill them with soup or very, very saucy foods despite the degree of grease/water resistance they have.Prep a salad, dry-age some steak, or put your leftovers in one to nuke the next day. That seems to be the ideal scenario for these if you ask me because my biggest problem with them is how well they do/don't seal.As you'll see in my first photo, even after a good deal of pre-folding, there's still a gap. Now, there's a sort of lip on the inside (that you'll see in the second image) that'd stop large pieces of whatever food from slipping right out, but they absolutely aren't *air tight.* So I wouldn't use them for long-term storage, personally, or put them in a bag that might get tossed around a bit.I *think* that maybe folding the sides like I've done in the second image could be a way to reduce (just by a tiny bit) air getting in, but again, *not* airtight. The product makes no claims to be, and I didn't expect them to be, I just want people to keep that in mind, y'know?Besides that, I'm not the biggest fan of the "locking" system where the triangle-cut goes in the keyhole to keep the lid shut. I've had it open once or twice if I didn't fold the heck out of those flaps ahead of time, and it doesn't inspire confidence in me. That's why it's losing one star in my books. The flap mechanism and the huge gap between the body and the lid if you don't fold it way down in advance and try to use it straight out of the box.Everything else is great I'd say, though. Again, send guests/friends/whatever home with some leftovers and it's *their* problem now! Haha! In all seriousness, though, the boxes are quite nice. They're absolutely *HUGE* and a great deal at the price. Amazon breaks it down as 72c a piece, and I like knowing that they're less than $1 each, and I think that's a great value.Just know what you're looking for in a container if you're working in a restaurant setting or something.Great for short-term storage of dry to damp ingredients in my personal opinion, great for a microwave, but don't toss one in your bag and let that bag flop around all over the place.Easy 4/5 stars. A better closing mechanism would've made it 5/5 side gaps or no.
