High quality and easy install about 40 min.Most of the time was rerouting vacuum line and had to make one modification to heat shield for fuel line.

Didnt end up needing it, But i bought it to go along with my phenolic resin spacer to keep fuel from boiling over. My issue was not with boiling over, but my fuel bowl from holley leaked from the factory beneath the breather tube.

Have a small blown V6 in a hot rod and during slow parades on hot days the engine heat would eventually get to the carb and boil the fuel out shutting down the engine. With heat shield under the carb the problem has decreased considerably.

I have a holley 650 on a 302 stroker that heated up and started percolating gasoline out of the top of the carburetor. This device stopped the percolating of gasoline out of carburetor by keeping heat away from the carburetor, which prevents the gas from heating past its boiling point. Looks nice to boot.

Excellent kit. But I did have to purchase taller studs for this to work. Perhaps the threads in my manifold were just set a little deeper than other manifolds. But including studs 1/4" taller won't hurt anything.

Installed with a phenolic spacer to solve a hot start issue and the carb runs so cool now that it actually has condensate on it until the truck gets up to operating temp. Even then it was only slightly warmer than ambient. Just might have to do a little trimming for it to fit

installed in two minutes and works great! temps lowered considerably.adds 3/8 inch to the carb base. so, careful on air cleaner height.

This Holley carb heat shield is exactly what I wanted, and I received it quickly. The quality is very good and it's a perfect fit. I bought this item because when the weather is hot, my engine runs hotter when sitting at red lights. It would run sluggish going up hills like it was running out of gas. This heat shield cured my problem. I recently moved very slowly on the highway during an accident up ahead (moved a mile in about 45 min. and the temp gauge ticked up a little but not overheating). The engine was never sluggish and ran perfect. I would definitely recommend this product.
