This is a great carburetor for my 1957 Chevrolet Belair. It's easy to tune and adjust . I'd highly recommend buying one of these .

Excellent carb, adjustments were very close as described. Engine started up no problem, followed directions. Called Holley for correct TH350 kick down bracket, replaced Holley 4150 4barrel double pumper. Vacuum secondary a must with electric choke.

When I first installed this carb the choke would not open using my stock choke wire so I installed another wire directly from the ignition and it still did not work. I tried adjusting the choke, but after loosening the three screws it would not turn at all. I then disabled the choke and am thinking about installing a manual choke. The Holley manual says you should almost be able to just set this carb on and run - not true. Had to do lots of adjustments and it ran really rich at first and fouled my plugs. Will not fit under my air cleaner so I can't use my cowl induction. My engine ran fine with both an Edelbrock and Qjet. Actually dyno'd about 20 horsepower more with the Qjet than the Holley. The Holley is twice as big and gets worse gas mileage than my other carbs.

I installed this on my 1968 convertible. The gas inlet fittings were bent, they leaked and my car caught fire. Total disaster. With a brand like Holley, I expected better quality. The carb seems to work fine, but I need to rewire and repaint the car.

I took off my Elelbrock performer carb because it gave me lean spots and surges. I decided to try this Holley and it's awesome! Looks great on my '65 Falcon with a 351W stroker motor (389ci). I bolted it on with no adjustment at all and took it to a car show where I was greatly encouraged to put it on the dyno truck that was there. It pulled 330HP, 340torque at wheels with an auto overdrive tranny. Not bad! Smoked all the imports and fuel injected dime a dozen crate motors. I learned later that the carb was only open to 3/4 throttle because I didn't have help to properly adjust the gas pedal linkage when I had put it on (takes 2 people). I wonder how full throttle would dyno with this carb?
