Just like the tinsel from my childhood. My mom always trimmed the tree with it, and now I do the same. It's really hard to find in other stores, so the price is worth it. It's just not Christmas without icicle tinsel.

Typical Christmas tinsel for your tree, if you like that sort of thing. We put on a lot and it is getting harder to find. This stuff is same-as-always -- super thin, super-fine shreds of silvery mylar. It moves constantly, providing sparkle, but also falls off easily and grabs onto anything the least bit static-y. It does not appear to be salvageable. After Christmas, you will have to throw it away and start over.

When I opened the package I was very disappointed in the quality of the item and the charge was for 9.92 and the package had a stamped price of 98 cents. This was quite a price difference!! I would not have been upset over $2.96 for the product but it is clearly not worth the price charged.

The product was as described, and arrived promptly. Unfortunately, the tinsel strands were often attached or stuck to one another at one end, making it hard to hang them on the tree. The problem can be addressed by "combing" through the bundle of strands first, in order to separate them. You can use your finger to do this, but it is better to use a slender piece of smooth metal such as the handle of a spoon. To be fair, I bought three packages but opened only one this year; it is possible that this issue was less or did not occur at all in the other packages. The price I paid was comparable to other brands of tinsel icicles available on the web this year, but still very much higher than the price of tinsel icicles as recently as one year ago.

Birds usually eat all the figs on my tree before they are ripe enough to pick. This year I purchased silver tinsel in hopes that it would scare the criters away. Because of the wind, you can't just hang the tinsel over the tree limbs like you would on a Christmas tree; you have to fold it in half and feed the ends through the loop to secure them. Whenever I'm outside, I add a few more strands to replace any that have gone missing or are in the grass around the tree. My daughter says I'm just going to have fat birds with sparkly nests, but I'm convinced that it's working. I've had the tinsel on the tree for almost a month, and none of the figs have chunks taken out of them yet. The price was reasonable for an out-of-season product. Update: Last year the birds got about half of the figs. This year I wrapped a wad of tinsel around each fig as it began to show color. Birds got only one fig!

Walmart $.98, they were out of stock. Saw sane thing on Ebay a little cheaper than Amazon, but needed it in a hurry. Mo stores had these so you pay for it. 400% markupThe tinsel itself is great. Next year start shopping a lot earlier.

This tinsel was honestly a pain in the *** to put on the tree. When I compared this tinsel to the one remaining bag of tinsel I purchased last year from Walmart (for way cheaper), this tinsel was much thinner. And as a result, very static clingy when pulling apart and trying to put on the tree. But, I had no other choice. NONE of the local stores had ANY tinsel. And my friends in other states had the same issue. Is there a tinsel shortgage????? LOL. But, in all fairness, when the tinsel was on the tree, it looked beautiful.
