I love this, its tight and great for oversized hands. Everyone from gun shop guys to girlfriends who aren't into guns love the look and texture. Kinda matches my Sig Elite with Hogue grips. Great work.

This grip fits very well on my Ruger SP101. I've seen other reviews stating that there were large gaps left between the grip and the trigger guard and back of the frame after installing the new grip. When I first slid the grip on, I experienced the same thing. However, once I took a closer inside the grip I noticed the "guide grooves" and made sure to line up the ends of the stirrup pin with the grooves while sliding the grip on. This time the grip snugged up nicely to the trigger guard and frame. The stock grip had a lot of back to front play. I found myself getting a blister in the web of my hand from the recoil/muzzle rise of my SP101 2.25" bbl after shooting a few dozen rounds, especially magnum loads. The new grip fits snugly with no play at all. Hopefully this new grip will help with the blister issue.I don't find that it prints any more than the stock grip in appendix carry. My big belly may help with concealment :)The finger grooves fit my hand well (I have average size hands). I haven't shot it yet, so I may update my review after my next trip to the range.

I had been looking for a set of wooden grips for my Ruger SP101 for a while. (I gave up on stag grips because all I could find were inserts and I’m not a fan of the original grips, so ...) I ordered a set from Altamont and the locator pin didn’t line up. They said they would make me another set and, after waiting another three weeks, they turned out to be exactly the same. So, I ordered these after seeing a photo of my exact revolver in the reviews and loved it. When I received the grips, the stirrup was not made properly (the square but came apart) and the screw was too long. I’m thinking, “Here we go again.” I contacted Hogue and the young lady I spoke with was kind and very helpful. Three days later I received a new stirrup and a shorter screw and everything worked like it was supposed to. I KNOW I had to go to some extra trouble and had to wait longer, but this is COVID 2020 and we all have to wait, right? The grips are gorgeous and fit my hand perfectly. I rate this high because, even though it wasn’t quite right out of the box, Hogue made it right. Quickly and with a smile, and THAT’S worth something these days.

easy to mount up on my new .327 fed mag. this and a 10 lb. spring with trigger job makes the ruger a whole different animal. keeps the trigger guard from knuckling me. fills the hand for best control and very comfortable. my wife chose the color/grip and everybody loves it. I may need to remove a bit from the left side to facilitate use of a speed loader, it is tight in this regard. my hands are medium and this feels custom fit. the finish is silky and sweet. I am not a fast draw artist and don't shoot competition but as a field carry gun grip this is the real deal.

First off, this Hogue grip looks rad but that's not why I bought it. The stock grip did not leave much room for my pinky finger to grab on to. I don't have huge hands but I was looking for a little more grip. For the person that left the review saying "the wood would split and the gun would fly out of your hands"...I'm not sure if that was an assumption or if it actually happened to them but I've put hundreds and hundreds of rounds of both .38 and .357 through mine and it never gave me any issues. Wooden grips absorb less of the recoil than rubber grips would so that's something to be aware of. I have the SP-101 with the spurless hammer as my EDC so I like the fact that the whole thing slides out of my ITW holster, including the smooth finish on the Hogue grip.
