I have a custom 1/10th DF-02 gravel hound that was turned into a monster truck years ago. Not as your first RC, but once you get familiar it is a blast to go the custom route. Anyways the tires have been beyond used and old, and they were for a monster truck.These tires are like monster truck style, but they have way better grip. Tires are pre-glued and ready to go on any 12mm hex nut. These are great for all around bashing. They state they are for brushless, but they work great for brushed, which is what I have. Overall, the compound is tough, and should last many seasons or years to come, depending on the usage. I don't feel you have to worry about them drying out or even shelf wear.
