Most people use these kind of clamps for PVC pipe or light electrical. I used it to attach an old iron headboard to my platform bedframe that wouldn’t allow for the standard boxspring screws approach. The headboard posts were exactly 2 inches in diameter and the rubber around this bracket makes it so that the post is really locked in place and not wiggling and shifting over time. I went to my local hardware store and got washers to be sure for a secure fit.

Have replaced a similar strap on a hydraulic piston support strap on a RV slide-out.Would basically work for any strapping needed.Probably best for cables since the metalic part is rather thin.Definitely not heavy duty !!!

I was really on the fence on this but glad I went for it. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO SECURE A 1.5" PVC PIPE YOU WILL NEED THE 2" CLAMPS but they work great. I made a custom organizer for some outdoor equipment out of 1 1/2" PVC pipe and these 2" clamps were perfect for fastening to the wall. Snug fit and holds well. If you got the 1.5" clamp I don't believe it would wrap around tight, there would be a gap between the screw holes.
