Unfortunately I had to return this item. It worked ok for about a week. After that, the lights would flash when turned on. I had to turn them off, turn the dimmer down low, then turn back on. When increasing the light level, the humming and buzzing began. I had the 150w model which should have been more than adequate for a 33’ light string rated at 120w. I’m also using a Lutron Diva dimmer.The flashing is an indication of overload. I ended up choosing a different brand and a higher wattage. Using the same dimmer switch as before I have no issues with, flickering, humming or buzzing.My guess is that the wattage rating is not true to the specs in the description.

I needed the powerful power supply to light the double row LED strip to light the entire room almost. So I had to get this driver. Only problem is that this driver hums and buzzes. It sounds like piezo characteristics of ceramic caps used in the device. I wish they didn't use the class II type ceramic caps; they always buzz. And the MTBF for the component is not that great either. They lose the insulation resistance due to DC aging after five years. I am thinking about opening up the driver and replace all the caps with the film caps. They should have thought about the buzzing at $200, they need to do a better job designing the power supply. Stop using ceramic caps.

I bought this to power and LED strip light I used when remodeling our guest bath. I needed dimmable and this did the trick. Everything was pretty straight forward and it seems to dim very smoothly. It has been in use about three months now, but it is in a guest bath and has only been used a dozen or so times so I can speak to durability. It certainly seemed well built and solid.

This thing is solid and has been reliable so far. It's very heavy and needs space to vent, so make sure you know where this thing is going to be installed. It can't go somewhere excessively hot which might mean the attic is a no-go.It does flicker at the lowest setting, but not too bad.

I erroneously ordered this 24V/40W dimmer in April 2018 and it worked ok, but flickered on/off at highest dimmer switch setting, and got extremely hot at the lowest dimmer setting. I contacted customer service in early 2021 to replace with the 12V/40W version for my under cabinet kitchen lighting. I sent this back and they replaced with the correct one at no charge. Awesome service.
