Tesla would be wise to adapt this hitch cover plate as standard on their cars. I fought with the factory cover to get it off and then re-install it. This hitch cover is FANTASTIC!

I have a 2021 Model Y with a VIN # greater than 200000. I was worried it wouldn’t work because no one was making this cover for VIN # > 200000. Very happy it fit and works. A great upgrade.

This product did what I needed - plug the "ugly hole" in my Model Y rear bumper after the factory OEM tow-package cover is removed. The magnetic cover is easy to remove when needed and small enough to store under the rear deck when towing. The fit was near-perfect and the texture was a good match for the rear aero-bumper area.

I had my hitch added to my model Y by Tesla and I didn’t like the cover that you have to pry off to get to the hitch. So I bought this magnetic cover and my first concern was that it would get lost on the highway, but it holds strong and it fits perfect! I highly recommend this product for anyone that has a model Y with a factory installed hitch.

Easy installation but the item I got has scuffs and does not fit well. See the photos, there is a huge gap.

The original plastic hitch cover that comes with the Tesla is hard to pry off and is easy to damage. I use my hitch frequently for a bike rack. I thought it would be ridiculous to keep prying this cover off trying not to damage it. This product solves this problem completely. Easily pops on and off. Magnet holds it very securely in place. Looks great. No modifications to the existing opening needed. Just pops right in. If you use your hitch, this is a must buy.

I was concerned about ordering this since some of the hitch covers on Amazon said, "Only compatible with Tesla Model Y with factory tow package and VIN below 200,000". I have no clue what a "VIN below 200,000" means since my VIN is seventeen characters long and contains alphanumeric characters. However, I thought I'd give it a try. It fits my 2023 Tesla Model Y. As people have pointed out, there is a narrow gap around the edge, but it's not something I've noticed once I installed it. I've only had it installed for about two weeks; however, it has not fallen out, and I don't see any sign that it has come loose.

Works .. looks great. Wish it had an easier way to remove it and not have to use the cap to remove it every time. Otherwise made my life easier as i use my trailer every week.

Tis is so good, slight difference in colour but other than that, this is what should initially be on the car.
