I bought this to replace the passenger side cam shaft position sensor in my 2012 Nissan Xterra and the engine code and issues didn’t go away.

My 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0 would sometimes have a problem starting after being driven a short ways. Finally the check engine light came on indicating a problem in the Cam Sensor Circuit. Since I wasn’t sure which one I replaced both of them to make sure. They are on the back of the engine so a pain in the butt to change so I changed both of them.It appears these ARE the O. E. Sensors and after replacement I cleared the code and so far no more issues. For the price I thought they were well worth it. Hope to get years of service out of them.Yes I would buy these again!

I would recommend replacing both at the same time. I did'nt and they both failed three months apart. 105K miles on a 2013 Frontier. They are a b*#@h to get to but do able with a little patience. Mine acted like transmission problem. Hard shifts and hunting for gears. These fixed it all.

It works perfectly fine with Nissan Pathfinder/Xterra/Frontier.And it should. It's the OEM part.In the end, I purchased the upgraded Hitachi model, part # CPS0012 of this one.Amazon/Hitachi doesn't list the compatibility to an early R51, Xterra or Frontier, but the new part is the OEM being sold by Nissan, now. These are a great deal of 30% from what the dealer will sell you for the same part.Hitachi is the brand you want. Thank you Amazon for selling these, here.

I used this for my 2007 Xterra as it was misfiring and after replacement and 400 miles later. This product did the job and hope it'll last.

Fixed the CMP sensor code on my Xterra. It's mounted in a tight spot, but is doable. See Youtube for the how to. Took about 20 minutes to replace.

I'm not a mechanic but I've done a few things from water pumps, radiators, starters, cv axles, valve cover gaskets and of course brakes and batteries. This little part is hands down the most frustrating part I've ever replaced on a vehicle. And yes it is the second time I've had to replace it. I went with a cheaper part a yr ago, it failed. It's not difficult, its just ridiculously frustrating(watch a YouTube video a few times before you take this on). ZERO ROOM TO WORK! I'm 6' & 300 lbs. You have to lay on top of the motor and contort your hands to work in a space about the size of a deck of cards. On the good side, my 13 yr old grandson watched and learned some new adult words. I sure hope this Hitachi lasts a long time.

There was some question about these being made in China in other reviews. Installed in a 2012 Xterra and they got rid of the check engine light with the P0345 code. These are not easy to install due to the location between the head & firewall. The only markings on the 2 I received were the part number but since it is a Hitachi number I will assume they are Hitachi. Box & paperwork looked legit. They had the actual Oring. But for $90 for a pair they are a big savings over dealer price ($403 for both at the dealer). I will update this review if I have any issues but I not anticipate it. They were very solid feeling and quality fit & finish.
