I wanted an art tv and decided to go with the Hisense after much research. I like the frame of this TV because it has a wood look to it but is made from metal (probably aluminum). The picture quality is very impressive. No matter the lighting of the room, the picture will adjust to best display what I’m watching. The sound is also surprisingly good, definitely better than I was expecting. Is it theater quality? Absolutely not, however I wouldn’t expect as much from such a thin display. I’m glad I didn’t buy a sound bar to go with this because it’s not necessary in my opinion.Art mode is great. There are limited options to choose from but that’s fine. I put it on while I read in the morning so not like I need a vast library of paintings to choose from.Overall this is a great tv that can also be used to display art.

The matte finish is really impeccable. And I really enjoy the aesthetic! The only caveat is the automatic light sensor gets turned on every time I go to art mode which causes my screen to flicker which is super annoying. Hisense really needs to provide a software update to fix that

I built a new fireplace and while I wanted a TV hanging above the mantle, I didn’t want a television to be the focal point of my small living room. The Hisense Canvas TV was the perfect solution! It looks like a picture hanging on the wall when not in use. The setup was easy, the menu system is impressive, 4K picture quality is excellent, and even the sound is loud and clear, with much more volume than the FireTV it replaced. I wish I could give this purchase 6 stars. Everyone that has seen this setup has been impressed.

This is momma’s tv. It’s in my living room and works fast, looks amazing, sounds great, overall it is awesome and worth every penny. Beautiful. We get a lot of compliments. I like impressionist art and it’s got tons of good ones that look fantastic.

We are really enjoying our Hisense Canvas tv. The picture quality, ease of use, sound, aesthetic, art mode feature have all been awesome. The fact that the wood grain frame is included in the purchase price was a bonus (I believe you have to purchase it separately with the Samsung).Regarding art mode:•Preprogrammed Art is free (unlike the original frame tv) and nice!•easy to add your own photos & art•customization with frame mats (color, texture, type)•you can play music via Bluetooth in the background while in art mode which is a feature I’ve really enjoyed.Highly recommend. We waited till prime day and got the 65” for less that the cost of a 55” Samsung frame.

The woodlike frame is gorgeous, the art that comes on when you walk in front is really cool. It comes with a flush wall mount (I didn’t know!) and a white plug instead of black! That was also a nice surprise. The sound is good, image too.

Looks sleek. The picture quality is decent, low glare. Comes with all the things needed to set it up (mount, screws, frame, and even a stand). Sound quality is okay.

The tv flickers black while watching shows and movies. There's a very noticeable flicker every few minutes when watching on this tv.Will have to reach out to support to try and resolve it.Update: I found a post on reddit suggesting to turn off "Automatic Light Sensor" and it's been better since then

This is a very slim TV. The simulated wood frame is nice and mounts magnetically without the need for the provided clips. Mounting to the wall is not as easy as most TVs because it goes snug to the wall. This is an extremely heavy TV and don't even think for a minute you can hang it alone. There isn't a lot of wiggle room like most mounts. It has to go exactly on the hooks and you can't slide it back and forth like a typical mount. So like the surgeons do, measure twice and cut once. The picture is very nice. It's a good matte finish with nice colors. The TV function is perfect. The remote is quite excellent.Based on someone's review that said that the plug sticks out in the back, I went and bought a 90° plug. It was unnecessary. The plug is now recessed.I bought this exclusively to show off my pictures. Yes, it does have a selection of white mats. What it doesn't have are artistic frames or three dimensional mats other than little bevels at the margin. There are some gimmicky modes that I don't use which put multiple pictures up at one time, sometimes with labels. It teases you with one of the modes where it'll hang four of your pictures or pieces of art with virtual frames and mats. That's great except I don't want to hang for at a time I just want to hang one. I wish there were a choice of actual frames like the screensaver on my LG TV. The white mats are not bad and they conform to the size of the picture. What you really want is a 9x12 image which I have pre-cut. Unfortunately this won't directly mate to your Google photos like my old LG did (not a canvas TV but I used it as one). You need to either load pictures from your phone or onto a USB device. The memory is not unlimited but it is quite capacious and I was able to load about 500 pictures and there's plenty of room left. There is actually a screensaver mode that does hook up to Google photos and I pick the albums that I want to import directly. They stream to my TV and I can alter them by altering what's in the Google album on my computer. Unfortunately it does not provide the mats so it doesn't look like art mode.Back to art mode. It has a number of built-in pieces of art. It really is not a very big selection. I'm thinking that the frame has a much better selection but you have to pay for it. The way to get around this is to go to one of the free sites on the internet and download all the art you want and import it as if it's your own. Be very careful though to crop it to 9x12 if it's a landscape painting. Otherwise it's going to zoom to the wrong area. At least if you crop it you can pick out what you want.I like that it turns on when you walk in the room.Overall, I am a little disappointed because of the inability to have nice three-dimensional mats or perhaps nice black or gold virtual frames. If they would just take that multi-picture mode with the frames and apply those frames to the single photo mode I would be a very happy camper. I have electronically added frames on my Photoshop for many pictures and they look great. Quality of picture, manipulation of settings and the interface using the great remote are all very satisfying. I saved a ton of money over the Samsung frame. I can't really compare them because I've never had the frame but I'm guessing that this is probably as good or better given the limitations above. I don't believe the frame has the mats and virtual frames that I had hoped this would have.By the way, I got this on sale Black Friday for 799 for the 65 in. I noticed they raised the price a bit. 5% off for Amazon prime, 6% tax, and it's a pretty good deal. It looks beautifully clean on my wall after I fished the wire away so it's invisible.update:I picked a mat with a brownish color and it looks more like a frame. It makes up a bit for no electronic frames. Also, if you play with the textures, you get differences in the colors chosen.

This Hisense Canvas TV is the product I have been looking for! As a digital artist, I have dreamed over the years about finding a large, high-definition screen to display my paintings. I wanted something to mount on a large wall in our formal living room, and I wanted it to look like a canvas. I also wanted the option to change out the artwork, and the option to add realistic colored mats. I didn't want to fool with a large box of connectors behind the screen and I wanted a simple mounting system. Finally, I wanted the display to look realistic—like a real canvas painting-with details like true color, brush strokes, and texture. The Canvas TV screen meets all of my requirements!I am simply stunned to see my images so faithfully reproduced on this 55 inch screen. The colors are outstanding, and the frame (included) makes the screen look just like a real canvas. The screen has an anti-glare mat finish, and even with direct sunlight on the screen, it still looks like a real painting. Using Art Mode, my images can displayed as a list in sequential order, or randomly, or with no rotation—just a single image. The motion sensor can be set to turn the screen off when there is no one in the room, and this is a fantastic feature! The screen also comes with Google tv and a bunch of other features including built-in high fidelity speakers, however, I won't be using this to watch tv—I will keep it in Art Mode. Thanks Hisense. I am blown away!
