I find this product to be quite appealing, despite its slightly heavy build, it remains comfortable to wear around the waist without causing any discomfort. It is important to consider that the product may come with a relatively higher price tag, but it's essential to remember that you are investing in time-saving convenience rather than solely relying on security features. Additionally, I appreciate the added benefit of its potential use as a weapon if required.

This lock is beefy. It’s a little tight for space when locking my bike up to racks, but that increases security, and I can still lock it to any rack I’ve been to.It’s pretty heavy, but I don’t feel it when wearing it around my waist. I find wearing it very convenient. I like not having a lock dangling off my frame or having to carry a bag for one.Although it’s expensive, my bike cost me thousands of dollars so this is a small price to pay for piece of mind knowing that thieves will likely pick an easier target when they see this thick chain and lock.

This is still the best bike lock I have ever used. The function of being able to wear it around and not carry a backpack to hold a lock is great. Weight is ok. Not crazy heavy but I like the security. The only thing I wish is that it had a few more links added to it. The locking length is ok and I make it work but I have a mountain bike with wide bars. It limits potential good locking spots. Still like I said the best I’ve used and I would still buy it.

Il prodotto si presenta molto bene, ottima fattura. Il fatto che possa essere usato tipo cintura mi ha risolto il problema di dove ancorare la catena durante gli spostamenti, la uso per un monopattino. Il rivestimento della catena è bello e robusto. Ottima e molto utile la zona riflettente.

Ich kann das Hiplok sehr empfehlen.Gewicht von silver ist fein. der klettverschluß gut und schön abgeschlossen. alles fein verarbeitet. der look unglaublich schick. die "gürtelschnalle" toll proportioniert und geformt. liegt gut in der hand und am körper.das ganze system mit klettverschluß, rückstrahlfolie und kette ist echt gut durchdacht. schnelles an und ablegen möglich. anpassen an die eigenen maße (+ rucksack) auch. das tragen echt angenehm. (zumindest funkts bei mir gut:Ich trage das schloß nur über die schulter. bin eher kleiner gebaut. und mag gewicht gerne.)einzige kleine nachteile: wenns regnet, saugt die hülle nässe. und das auf und absperren per schlüssel ist nicht megazackzack möglich bzw. hab ich jetzt (nach 3 wochen) noch kein ganz g'schmeidiges handling gefunden.Overall bin ich aber sehr happy mit dem teil.Der Umfang fürs Anschließen ist nicht riesig aber meist ausreichend. und vor allem anders als bei Klappschlössern intuitiv gut einschätzbar.Kanns nur empfehlen! This is now my go to lock, hardly notice it when i'm riding. I often walk back into my house with it still on instead of leaving it out in the shed with my bike. The lock itself seems really solid and the chain is nice and chunky.

ich hatte für mein MTB eine Abus Faltschloss. Das wollte ich auch an meinem neuen Fitnessrad anbringen. Allerdings hat es ständig geklappert. Daher habe ich mich für ein Schloss zum Mitführen am Körper entschlossen und aufgrund von Youtube Videos dieses hier gekauft.Vor dem Kauf hatte ich zwei Befürchtungen:1. dass das Schloss am Körper drückt und schwer ist2. dass es mit 90 cm zu kurz ist, da mein bisheriges 120 cm Umfang besass.Beide Befürchtungen haben sich nicht bestätigt:1. Durch den Klettverschluss kann man justieren, wo das Schloss am Körper aufliegt - eher über, auf oder unter dem Bauch. Wer gerade mal zuviel gegessen hat, kann hier also verhindern, dass das Schloss auf den vollen Bauch drückt. Vom Gewicht her ist es eigentlich gar nicht zu spüren.2. Die Länge des Schlosses hat sich durch die Kürze sogar noch als vorteilhaft herausgestellt. Warum? Mein Fahrrad hat keinen Ständer. Daher muss ich es an längeren Säulen (Laternen, Fahrradständern, Verkehrsschildern etc.) befestigen. Das Kettenschloss umfasst z.B. Laternensäule und Fahrrad gerade so, dass das Rad stehen bleibt anstatt umzufallen.Das Auf- und Zuschließen inklusive Anketten oder Anlegen am Körper bedarf einiges an Übung, bis man den Kniff in kürzerer Zeit raus hat. Der Zeitbedarf dafür ist höher als beim Abus Schloss.Das Schloss selbst scheint mir sehr sicher und robust zu sein. Ein Hobbyschlossknacker wird es wohl erst Mal woanders probieren wollen. Vor Profis soll wohl kein Fahrradschloss sicher sein.Gut finde ich die reflektierende weiße Hülle, die gerade im Dunkeln eine bessere Sichtbarkeit für Autofahrer gewährleistet.Alles in allem kann ich das Schloss empfehlen.

This is one sturdy lock and chain!I just used it for the first time, and as I put it on, I thought that perhaps the large, square plastic covering around the lock would be uncomfortable, but was amazed that I could barely feel it around my waist as I rode. In fact, when I got home, I stored my bike in the garage and wore the Hiplok into the house for awhile. I actually did not want to take it off! Although I couldn't really feel the weight, something about having it there must have felt good on my back.I just go for rides on the trail near my house, and haven't had any occasion to lock my bike up, other than in the garage. But I would feel absolutely confident that anyone thinking about stealing a bike would take one look at this and pass it up to find an easier target.

Works great as a lock, kind of an awkward lock/key situation, and heavy to ride with everyday. Great additional weight if training, or if you just want to have a really heavy expensive belt that makes you more tired by the time you get to where you are going.
