They are 1/4” and nicely made. However they do NOT work with hex head bolts. They would be fine with hex socket (Allen key) bolts but you can’t get a socket around the hex head inside the cap.

I uses these to cover screw heads. Looks better and professional.Thing to note: the cap cover can be a problem to get on. I use a piece of wood, 1x1, to get the leverage to snap it on.

These little plastic caps are solid! Very nice “click” to them when they’re snapped closed. They hide the screws to your license plate frame perfectly. No rattle, not loose at all, very happy here!

We wanted to cover some visible screws on our stroller. These looked promising. They are well made and work fine, but were too wide and tall to fit into the space available. So, didn't work for us, but not the product's fault. Just be sure that there is enough space around the screws you're covering for these to fit into the space.

I recently refinished a couple of shutters on my house and used these screw covers to enhance the front and conceal the screw heads. I was pleasantly surprised by their size; they can accommodate screw heads up to 7/16 inch in diameter. Installation is a breeze, and the snap closure clicks securely into place, giving a polished look. Before making my purchase, I read numerous reviews comparing this product to another brand that offered dozens for the same price as just ten of these Hillman screw covers. However, many reviewers noted that the other brand was of lower quality and didn’t close properly. For me, opting for fewer high-quality covers was definitely the right choice. Highly recommended!

Used for my license plate bolts. The covers that come in two pieces are hit or miss. These worked well.

Good fix to cover the screws on my license plate. Pretty easy to install, just worried how well it will hold up next time I have to take it off to put a new sticker on. Time will tell, good thing the package came with a few, so for the price, even if it breaks, pretty cheap and easy to replace.
