I used three of these to replace some 1/2" decorative brass tacks that held a plate onto a recently purchased dresser. This one plate, for whatever reason, would pop off and eject all of the tacks next to my bed, the one place I never wear shoes...These are longer, slightly thicker and hold better than the smooth part they replaced. Generally very robust for something this size. The head of the nails still look really nice after the hammer taps that it took to get them in place.

I have been trying to find some short nails/tacks that are robust and strong to nail down some old lead flashing. These are not suitable. They're weak and small. For the right purpose I'm sure they're fine but without a photo showing the size compared to something that is well understood it was not possible to to know they are more for hanging pictures and so forth. If you are looking for short, thick, stubby strong nails these are not what you want.

These are high quality. The brass looks authentic and even though the nails are small, they can take a beating from the hammer without bending.
