Hillman 370057 Toggle Bolt, 3/16X4-Inch, 50-Pack

Toggle bolts come with spring-action wings and are intended for anchoring into hollow walls. The wing is designed to spread apart behind the base material upon installation for firm hold in hollow wall applications. The wing disperses the weight of the secured item over a larger area, increasing the weight that can be secured compared to a regular bolt.

Very frustrating. I would say 40-50% were cross threaded. Sucky!

Needed to put a hand rail on a set of stairs, the drywall was super thick so needed these extra long bolts. They work great and the rail is very secure.

I have used these to mount various things from microwaves to heavy shelving in drywall and these work great. Obviously you are going to leave more of a hole in the wall if you want to remove the shelf later. Also, these screws are long but that makes it very easy to manipulate through the hole. These fit perfectly fine inside standard walls.

Like-this toggle is spring strong. A lot of other makers tend to be weak at the spring load. I’ve used about 20 of them so far and everyone worked accordingly and hassle free. I used others that tend to be weak, fold up or break.Dislikes-none really.Suggestion- screw length should come in a few lengths for separate applications without compromising the circumference. I’ll just hacksaw them as needed. If they do come in different lengths (I didn’t see where available) please advise!

I used (4) of these to the secure the bathroom sink cabinet to the wall since there was no studs directly behind it. Worked like a charm and the bathroom sink cabinet is on there solid like a rock!!!

Plenty of holding power, the wall will likely fail before your toggle bolt will. The only, minor issue is the number printed on the wings is the size of the bolt's shaft, not the size of the hole you've got to drill to fit the spring wings into the wall.
