I’ve tried all different types of brands and this food is the best all around food for your fish! It’s soft and and doesn’t sink fast. All of my small fish can eat it very easily, as compared to other pellets that they may just spit out.

These Hikari Marine-S Pellets are like the gourmet sushi of the fish food world. My clownfish now give me the VIP wave every time I approach the tank—total rockstar treatment. The pellets are just the right size for their tiny fishy mouths, and I swear they're swimming faster and showing off more since starting this diet. Bonus: no fishy smell, so your kitchen won't feel like a pier. It's like meal prep for fish with zero effort! Highly recommend if you want happy, well-fed, and slightly smug marine buddies.

Only problem is once they reach area where water filter releases water, they have a tendency to sink at that point, and sink fast. If not, I'd definitely give 5 stars seeing as how much the fishes love them.Backstory: My niece's fishes stopped eating brime shrimp. Tried flakes first (wasn't my preferred choice and brand, but her brother wanted them), and they'll tolerate those but only really eat if they're really hungry. Finally tried these (hikari I've always liked and trusted back when I myself had an aquarium) and they very happily gobble these up.

My fish went bonkers over the pellets…. They are super teeny tiny so you have to watch what you put in for overfeeding…BUT, we fed a “pinch” last night and everything was eaten and then I purposely overfed this morning to see what happened. The results are that these stink really fast so for my bottom feeders and sifters this will be great since they do not go up for the flakes and Mysis/brine shrimp that stay in the water column longer. Even my starfish came up out of the sand to dine on the pellets. Despite their small size you can see how they turn sponge-like and do not cloud the water. I have enough CUC to not worry about overfeeding once but would not do that often. I am going to experiment target feeding my starfish with some rehydrated pellets next!

My fish love this stuff, and it's actually small unlike some other foods that claim to be small, but have larger pellets mixed in.

I get it ready and use a pipe to draw it out mixing it with the tank water in a small cup...mixes so much faster than just leaving it in a cup to set. Works very well.

Good product. Hakari quality. Good for fish that eat dried food. Used to vary my fishes diet between dried and frozen. Pricing is comparable to in-store without going to the store.

Ive been using hikari marine s for about 12 years, and with over 30 years experience with marine fish I have never found a dry food to rival it!First of all this food is designed for small fish, that is fish under 3 inches. Young clownfish, small grammas, dottybacks, wrasses etc. If your fish are larger get the hikari marine A.This product contains garlic which does stimulate feeding so you should find most fish will readily accept it after a day or two.Be careful when feeding, as theses pellets are tiny and it is easy to put way too much food in the tank with just one pinch. I generally just carefully dispense about one pellet per fish, watch them eat it then repeat until they have had their fill. This ensures all the food is eaten and none is left over to contaminate the tank.Fish colour does improve slightly while using this food, but be aware it is very high in protein and will make fish grow very fast! For very young fish this is a good thing up to a point, but do not overdo it, supplement their diet with other foods that are not so potent! Or you may run into all sorts of problems! This is probably the best marine food on the market bar none, if used sensibly. It is rocket fuel for fish!
