I got this for my goldfish in our garden fish pond, and they absolutely love it. I especially like the fact that it floats at the top until they finish eating instead of sinking down to the bottom and causing a bacteria overgrowth in the water. I would definitely recommend this brand to any goldfish or koi owner.

We have had a koi pond on our back porch for about 20 years. It was about 500 gallons and we got little koi to stock it. We have fed Hikari koi food since we first built the pond and our 3 -4" starter koi are now up to about 12" (body length, not including tail) and 18- 20 years old. One oddball in the pond is a comet (goldfish) that my granddaughter won at a state fair about 7-8 years ago. He is now about 10" long. We just moved about 3 hours away and built a new pond on our back porch, this one about 950 gallons. The koi were so strong and healthy that the move and transition didn't affect any of them and they are all swimming happily in their new home for about 8 months now. We have never had any trouble with the food clouding the water or affecting our water parameters. I bought this mini pellet food for my son's small porch pond that he built for his kids and has stocked with little comet feeder fish and they are doing great on it and growing well. I highly recommend it.
