I bought this for a somewhat unconventional reason; to reach those ceiling vents that need to be adjusted from time to time. While I have no reason to believe this wouldn't work great to get clothes on hangers from a high location, I can say this works great to adjust vents that are high up.The pole isn't adjustable or telescoping, but you could unscrew a section, if needed. The top of the pole has a hook that has two studs on top to help keep an item in place if fetching from underneath it. It also has some nice foam padding on the middle and lower portions of the handle, which helps with fatigue and grip if you use this for a while.Overall, this is a great tool with many practical uses outside of its intended purpose, and I say go for it! This is a well-made and quality item that will be a handy addition to your broom closet.

REVIEW FOR: Greeily High Reach Garment Hook, 31" to 61" Clothing Hook PoleI have a desk in front of my one window with blinds. I can't reach the pull cord to raise or lower the blinds, it is out of reach. So, this marvelous hook arrived yesterday I couldn't be happier! All I need to do is put the hook in the cord and pull! And, I love the ability of this to become long or shorter! This was a great buy!

I've been using the hook in my new greenhouse for the past week. It is wonderful!Screws together easily. I have all the sections put together for the longest reach. The padding in the handle makes picking up a heavy object less painful on arthritic hands.I've used it to add and remove S hooks on a curtain rod for hanging baskets, to remove a glass wind chime from a tree, and with a paper towel wrapped around the hook, to push leaves out of the greenhouse gutter.Each and every one of these tasks would have required that I retrieve a ladder, carry it, stabilize it, remove object, and carry ladder back to its storage place.This has made my life easier. And if I ever need to go to a costume party as Cleopatra, I'll have a pharaoh's staff at hand!

I must confess I don't have a multi-level garment closet, but what I do have is a 10 ft bird feeder pole to keep Deer and other animals from eating all the bird seed, so I needed a tool for hanging and unhanging the feeders. Before I had a hook that slips on the end of a broom handle which was constantly falling off. This hook is great, it's very long, super light so as to be easy to manipulate overhead at full arm extension and even though the hook is designed for hangers, it works well with various types of feeders.

I worked in retail apparel years ago and we needed one of these to access the garments high up on the display walls. But this one is so much nicer and sturdier. The hook section is riveted onto the pole, so it does not spin or pop off if it gets snagged. The pieces screw together tight and the weight of the assembled unit feels strong enough for heavy garments. I wont need all the pieces for my home closet so I’ve tucked the extra section away for safekeeping. I really like the design of the hook end which gives you multiple ways to securely catch a hanger, but also has a hoop wide enough to hang it on a real wood closet dowel. The extra handle piece has more of the great comfy foam, which comes in handy for leverage if you’re managing heavy garments or multiple items up high. The handle sections are strong metal, but the hook section is a gold metallic finish plastic. **The only thing I would improve would be to make the hook out of metal also, for even more strength, but for my use it is perfect as is. **It increases your reach safely from the ground, is strong enough to push items aside and catch one or two hangers at a time, and stores easily when not in use. The hook design works fine with any of my hangers and you can install the mid-section poles interchangeably based on where you need the extra leverage. I’ll be installing another closet rod high up in my 9’ tall closet for out of season garments and this reacher-pole will make that all the more useful and functional. Given how sturdy it is I think it is a very good value which will last a long time, it is easy to assemble with or without all the sections, and very easy to use with just a bit of practice.

The quality of this garment hook is very good. It has extensions that screw together allowing me to choose the length I’m most comfortable with. The handle has a sponge grip for an easy grasp. Personally, I found that screwing just the two ends together worked best for me. The shorter length is easier for me to control my aim. The two extra extensions are there if needed for a longer reach.This garment hook works well when you have a garment on your hanger. I couldn’t control my aim for putting an empty hanger back on the rod and dropped a couple behind my clothes dryer (never to be seen again).Would I ever purchase a garment hook again? Probably not. I can grab more from the rod with my hands than I can using this garment hook. I will only be using it when something is out of my reach.
