This looks like a solid metal t-shaped hose connector. I am using this for my summer garden timer. However, cannot attest for winter performance. I have had to replace most of my splitter following our last winter here in the South that was a little colder than we experience. It is either there are no winter resistant splitters or sellers should clearly let buyers know how their splitters will fare in the winter.

Study and easy to install, the dials are smooth and don't stick. I'm not sure if it's brass through and through it might be brass plated but that's enough to get the job done. I really like that the attachments aren't right next to each other so it allows various sized hoses to be attached without feeling crowded.

The 2-way splitter is of decent quality. It is bigger than the typical Y splitter. Considering its size, the splitter is not heavy. I doubt it is made of solid brass as suggested somewhere in the description. But the build quality is certainly better than those inexpensive splitters you find in big box stores. It does the job and I like the right-angle design.

I was looking for a new hose splitter attachment since the previous plastic ones we bought were no match for the brutal Texas summers and only lasted a year before cracking and leaking. I only just got this one and put it on, but the fact that the entire thing is made of a thick metal--even the valves--makes me very optimistic that this one will last much longer. It was easy to attach by hand and there are no leaks.

Exactly what I needed here. This is a very strong and durable splitter. For my sake, one of the lines is running to a sprinkler system, so it was extremely important that the durability of the splitter was solid as the water was going to remain on for half. I could not have used this if it was going to leak etc, even if slow. The fully metal splitter basically is not just an extension of my spicket off the side of the house, providing a very strong and durable connection.Another feature I absolutely love (and did not think about at the time) is the fact that the split is not the typical Y shape, but is the right angle. This allowed me to attach a timer to my sprinkler hose off the side and not get in the way at all of the regular use of the hose. What a fantastic bonus by accident!!

Not Brass as the pictures explicitly claim. I looked at every word because it kept describing "heavy-duty metal" but then the pictures said "durable solid brass". My wrench scratched the "golden" coating to reveal silver metal.

This hose splitter is constructed with an all metal that when I ordered I assumed was brass, though I can't find any mention of that on the listing anymore, only "heavy-duty metal". From the other reviewer I noted that the gold color had scratched off some of his, revealing Zinc/Aluminum silver metal. For this I have to take off a star, though it still has quite some heft to it and feels solid.Hooking up the splitter was simple, I only needed to hand tighten and did not need the included tape to create a waterproof seal. I have gone through a bunch of these splitters and they all eventually leak so I'm not basing my rating on longevity, just my initial impression.

Okay, so, let me tell you about this hose splitter thingamajig… or adapter… or whatever you want to call it! Honestly, I just received this the other day, and right out of the box, I was immediately impressed. It's got a real weight to it that gives you confidence that it can handle the water pressure and whatever else you throw at it in the garden. It's not lightweight and tinny at all – it feels heavy duty, in the best possible way. I can already picture this being out in the elements, exposed to the sun and rain, and just… holding up. It seems like the kind of plumbing equipment that you install and then just forget about because you know it's going to work, year after year.Honestly, I’m already thinking I might need another one for the backyard. If I ever need another hose splitter, or adapter, or whatever the heck these things are officially called, I am definitely coming back for this one.
