If you're looking at this, you probably have (or are thinking of buying) an IKEA high chair (or another one that's similar). The kids do better with foot rests. We tried resistance bands at first, and that helped, but this is a little sturdier (and frankly better looking). Easy enough to install, though a bit of a chore, and highly recommended.

I ordered this for my IKEA highchair rather than use a resistance band as I had for my first. This works much better and way easier to both install and keep in place.

I was skeptical at first to order this. I have the evenflo 4-in-1 grow with me high chair and I couldn’t find anything that said compatible. I measured and ordered this on a whim. I’m so glad to say it FITS! The rubber rings are slightly difficult to get over the clips on the legs that clip into the table, but a little effort and it was with ease. I’m so thankful this fits. My baby started solids just a week ago and I was worried when I read that they needed a foot rest. The quality is pretty good, but we’ve only used it a week so far.

Quality is good. The wood is solid. The actually prefer the brackets this one come with over the ‘name brand’ one we had. It feels more secure.

Not really fair to blame the people who are fixing Ikea's problems but the Ikea highchair doesn't come with a foot rest. Which is absolutely necessary! This foot part fixes the issue. But it costs as much as the entire highchair. So only 3 stars based on price.

This was very easy to install and really makes the ikea highchair look more polished. My son seems a lot more comfortable while eating and I am happy with the purchase. The only caviat i would say is that my son really quickly figured out he could use the stepstool to support his escape from his highchair so any other moms of escape artists might want to keep that in mind. I will say my son was already getting out of his straps before the footrest but I still think it is worth mentioning at how much easier it is for him now.

Overall very happy with this footrest. I installed it fairly quickly and only had to take the rubber rings off twice during install because I didn't put everything on in the right order. It doesn't go down at all even when our 8 month old pushes against it with his whole body, but it does wobble back and forth a bit when his feet are on it and he is pushing against it. I have tried to scoot the top rings down so it is more secure but they're just rubber circles so eventually scoot back up a bit. Not a safety concern that I am aware of. I like how it is totally adjustable, we need to move it down a bit as his little legs are longer than when we started using it 3 months ago. I love the fact that it's not clicking into pre-set heights like some chairs, but instead is totally customizable for the height we need.
