2nd time using this filter and it works like a charm. Catches all the junk so my engine doesn't have to deal with it. Plus it uses the same sized socket as the oil release bolt. Im down for making my life easier, so I hope you are also. :)

I gave this brand a try, and have been very pleased with the results. 3rd Party oil analysis reports have consistently found these filters to do an excellent job. The lab even commented on a recent report about "excellent filtration" based on their findings. The 17mm nut makes oil changes a 1 tool job, and the pre-lubed o-ring is a nice touch (although I still apply clean oil to it).No filter will compensate for poor maintenance practices, so change your oil & filter per the manufacturer schedule. More often in a racing or severe duty application.I trust these on my track bikes and will continue to use and recommend.

A filter is a filter, despite what so called experts tell you. This filters and is easy to remove with built in hex head that isn't some crazy huge size. Track day ready too, drilled for safety wiring.

I was really skeptical if this was genuine or fake as local store has it for double the price. After getting, it seems just like the one for the local store, assumed it is genuine.Filter review: For motorcycle this definitely hands down the best filter you can buy, it’s designed for motorcycles by an American company. The quality is top notch, I bet if this filter ever get stuck you would struggle to jam screw drivers through it that’s how good the build is, but you don’t have to worry about it sticking cause it has a nut to unscrew it and it’s the same size as oil drain on my ninja(nice). Also rubber gasket comes pre lubed (nicee)With this price don’t even consider any other filter. Buy it your bike will thank you :)

Half price for same product. See pic. Probably same supplier for other guy. Unknown about the filter media inside but case is same. Easy to use welded on nut makes changing it in tight jetski hull easy.

So I had heard of HI-FLO prior to my purchase for several years while in Motorcycle mechanics school and working at a dealership, and have seen it for sale at many motorcycle shops/dealerships, but I'm assuming it's not usually sold because the parts managers push the more well-known brands to increase their bottom line, and probably because the general public doesn't recognize it. But as others have stated, many use car specific oil filters 1. because their more readily available due to volume manufacturing and 2. their cheaper. But car specific filters may not be the best use because they may not be design for the specific bypass pressures of a motorcycle engine. I held this filter next to the K&N filter and after a pretty thorough visual inspection (did not cut it open) there's really no difference. I also compared it to my kawasaki OEM filter and the hi flo is better because it has the nut attachment on top and the O-ring was much thicker and softer. The filter paper is a high filtration micron paper from Ahlstrom Filtration of Finland and Vose filtration USA. HI FLO has been in business since 1955 and instead of doing cars and other equipment, they only make oem style filters for the motorcycle, atv, and watercraft industry. And best of all they warranty their filters for 30 days after installation against defect and if it's found that the filter caused engine failure, HI-FLO will pay for engine repair or replacement. I haven't checked but I doubt any other car or motorcycle oil filter company will warranty their filters like that. Besides if you do one thing but faithfully change your oil and filter on a regular basis, you'll double the life of your engine. You can't go wrong using this filter. You can buy 3 of these for the price of one so called "high end" filter. And have money left over to buy better oil. Speaking of oil look up Consumer Reports guide "Motorcycle oil vs car oil" .. very interesting. I've been using Castrol Semisynthetic for 20yrs, regular oil changes every 1500 - 2000 mi. or the end of every riding season. without any issues. Good luck hope this helps and keep the rubber side down!
