About this item

  • 【1DD+2BA Hybrid Drivers for High-End Entry Sound】Combining P Series multi-driver richness and MagicOne single-driver coherence, the Explorer delivers balanced, detailed sound with a 10Hz-30kHz range. The dynamic driver provides punchy bass, while 2 custom BAs ensure smooth mids/treble – perfect for studio monitoring and HiFi listening.
  • 【RLC Network + 3D Pressure Balancing for Seamless Sound】RLC frequency division eliminates driver resonance peaks for electrostatic-like treble, while the 3D air pressure system reduces ear fatigue and enhances bass texture. A natural, fatigue-free listening experience even during long sessions.
  • 【Easy to Drive (26Ω/108dB) with Wide Compatibility】Optimized for any device - from smartphones to high-resolution players. Low impedance (26Ω) and high sensitivity (108dB) ensure full sound even with an adapter or Bluetooth adapter. You can hang 3.5mm and 4.4mm cables for balanced/unbalanced settings according to your needs.
  • 【Studio-Grade Tuning for All Genres】Bass: Deep yet controlled, with a long acoustic tube for ultra-low extension. Mids: Warm, realistic vocals with air and texture. Treble: Smooth, extended highs thanks to microresonator tech. Perfect for pop, jazz, and orchestral music.
  • 【Cosmic Design, Pro Performance】Inspired by space exploration, the Explorer merges innovative engineering (self-developed BAs, multi-layer crossover) with entry-level accessibility. A true "high-end sound at mid-range price" experience.

Product Description

The Explorer delivers ample bass with fast transients, along with airy spaciousness. Its vocals are rich and warm, offering detailed realism and a sense of space. It excels in reproducing various music genres.

RLC network frequency division technology directly acts on the driver's sound frequency band, mitigating peaks caused by inherent resonance, especially in the high-frequency band. This allows the dynamic driver to deliver a smooth treble experience similar to an "electrostatic" unit.

I have had a couple of good headphones over the years, Sennheiser over ear phones being the previous best, and at the time I purchased them were a lot to spend on headphones ($300 CAD approx). These are miles ahead of those headphones! Paired with a HiBy R6 III they sound great, the back ear hook takes a little time to get used to the feeling on the back of your ear, but they are comfortable and nice to listen to. My only complaint if it could be called such, is that they are a little too warm on certain recordings, but for the price these are a great introduction to hybrid IEM’s, thank you to AFUL for putting out a great and inexpensive product - so nicely done, thank you!

Just got the Aful Explorer in today and so far I’m pretty pleased with the purchase especially considering the price-point. I like how they fit my ears, just using stock tips for now, the cable is decent enough. I opted for the 4.4 termination and it’s plugged into a iBasso dx180. Been jam’n right along going on 3 hours listening to local files from the SD card and streaming from Qobuz, AmazonHD, and my roon server. The Explorer is happily doing it’s thing across all genres in the queue.I dig their relaxed presentation they are a fun listen but don’t force themselves on you.

I really wanted to like these but I was just unimpressed. Nothing wrong with them.. but, nothing about them seems special either.Pros:- Shape is very comfortable.- Small size, pretty sure they will fit in just about anyone's ears.- I like the aesthetics of the resin faceplate- Good cable.- Everyday carry?Personal Takes:- Can really crank up the volume on these without sharp high frequencies making your ears bleed, if that's what you're looking for in an IEM. I guess that's what makes these special? I don't really care for playing my music at max volume, I prefer long listening sessions.- Separation/imaging is left to right. It feels like there is a lack of depth, how far away instruments and vocals are, just seems flat compared to my other sets.- I don't like the way the case feels, there's like this grippy rubber coating on it.- The nozzles don't have any mesh to protect the drivers from particles entering- Nothing about the way these sound stands out. Kinda lackluster?

Awesome IEM for the price. If you are new to the hobby and if you have the cash, I recommend this as your first IEM. It has a neutral tuning with added warmth. Do not expect great technicality and detail retrieval. This is an IEM for relaxing and enjoying the music without analyzing. Because it has no upper mid and treble peaks, you can increase the volume higher than other IEMS. Good for electronic music and decent all rounder. Not a basshead IEM, and small shell so great for small ears.

This is a great louder listen set due to the relaxed pinna gain and treble. It does require a bit of power to sound its best, but something like a moondrop dawn pro or btr15 will be more than enough. The soundstage is intimate, yet holographic with very good imaging making it a good choice for gaming. The bass might get in the way for games like Apex, but you can just eq it down a bit if it bothers you. This takes the cake over the Performer 5 IMO, but it’s also a different tuning. I found penon orange liqueur eartips to work very well with this set, but something like spinfit w1 or azla tips (light, og, max, vivid) should work great too. Included eartips are ok, but you will get one from a good pair of aftermarket tips. The stock cable is very nice as well as the small case it comes with. The fit is very comfortable due to its ventilation system and small size. For $120 the value is a no brainer if you are treble sensitive or want a bassy smooth set that you can crank the volume on. Works great with EDM, rock, metal, rap/hiphop, jazz.

Sounds awesome. Great for anyone, those who are treble and semblance sensitive, like myself, will love them also. Using EQ I can make them as bright as any pair, they do have that capability. They run off my MP3 player and phone just fine. Plenty loud for me. They are the only pair of headphones / IEMs that I don't need to EQ to my taste. I love them just as they are. And very comfortable. I forget they are even in.

These are some of the few IEMs that even come close to fitting properly in my tiny ears. They are large enough to become uncomfortable after a couple hours, but even that's better than most. I'm not a huge fan of the stock tuning, although many people are, and the stock cable has somewhat small ear hooks, but those are pretty minor problems when you consider the rarity of small pseudo-custom shell IEMs. The only major problem with these (and the reason they lost a star) is the very smooth nozzle, which limits what eartips will stay on. I ended up putting some masking tape around it, in the hopes that the rough texture would help the tips I use stay on, and it worked (at least for the ADV. Eartune Fidelity U tips).

I'm not expert but i find these IEMS very enjoyable. Many different genres sound smooth. Good amount of low end. Not the most resolving or detailed but good for casual listening. No hot treble. Are comfortable to wear. Definitely worth the price for me. I haven't tried a ton of iems but I think these are great.
