I’ve owned a lot of piano benches…all the “cheap” ones (like, $250 cheap…aka not cheap) suck. They don’t last, they lose buttons, they squeak like crazy (I have a recording studio and this is a real issue). This thing is rock solid, super comfortable, easy to use (pull a lever instead of spending 100seconds frantically turning knobs to change the height)…and more importantly, it doesn’t squeak!!It’s also big enough for two people to sit on, which I love.

This bench was bought to replace my Jansen bench. I do wish I had spent the extra to get the extended duet bench... but as a Piano Teacher this allows me to have even my smallest students to have the best posture for playing piano.I have the smallest version for my digital piano... and loved how smooth the adjustment is. Now I have one for the grand.Worth every dime.

The Hidrau is the finest piano bench made in Europe, (Spain). I'm thrilled that the they are available in the USA. This bench is made well and will last the test of time. I recently purchased the Hidrau Model HM 30" Vinyl Hydraulic Artist Piano Bench. It is the best investment you can make to enhance your piano playing experience. I practice longer because of the ergonomic design and I am impressed with the mechanism that raises and lowers the seat. My posture has improved sitting at the piano and it's extremely comfortable. I recommend the Hidrau 100%

Easy to assemble in 10 minutes. Very sturdy compared to the wooden adjustable bench that it replaced. Has a modern clean look. Padded seat is very comfortable. I went with the duet size because it will also be used as supplemental seating in my living room.Update (Feb 2024) - I have had it for 3.5 years now. It’s shows no wear. The top pad and material shows no wear or sagging. I love the sturdiness of the steel frame, as it is dead solid, no movement, no noise. I love the clean modern lines. It’s more expensive than many others, but it has been one of my best purchases ever. Quality is AAA+.

I bought several other cheaper benches in an attempt to be economical, but after the adjusting action quickly broke with all of them, this is easily the best bench available. It also is incredibly comfortable with great foam and a good angle to the seat. Adjusts easily and quietly, absolutely no squeezing or play in the mechanism.Edit: 5/15/20I bought a second bench for my Keyboard and here are some differences in the same model. My 2017 model has thinner foam and is softer. The newer version has thicker firmer foam. More supportive in my opinion. It’s more of a matte black seat now too.

This bench is very expensive but it is well engineered, comfortable and the hydraulic is flawless.Easy to put together too. I've wasted a lot of money on other benches and just should have gotten this one in the first place.
