I didn't realize these were so long. Could be useful for a special situation. On my first use, the tip snapped off in some copper. So any real steel would be out of the question. Also, due to the length, the bit doesn't turn true, there is a slight wobble mounted in my high end Jacob's chuck.

Center drills are always problematic, the desired speed in the center is much higher than the desired speed of the countersink. Because of this, these can be easily broken. Even as long as these are, they are quite rigid and will cut well on center, either starting a drill hole or a centering hole for a lathe. These are sharp and nicely finished. I do not have the metrology tools to determine concentricity, but they do not appear to be off center. I got these to use on a jig to drill holes through rods, and they work well for me.

Cheap cheap cheap metal. First time I used it on mild steel with light pressure, the tip snapped off rendering it useless and then flip it over and the other end did the same

This thing is sharp and having it double ended is great. I use this on plastic and it cuts like butter. Don't use your bare finger to brush off debris, you will cut your finger. Do not poke yourself in the eye with this. It will hurt. Works great.
