Extremely poor machining quality. Given these are priced above a typical import set and are touted as "ultra" quality you'd think they would be made to a slightly higher standard than this. The slots in the clamp pieces have terrible machining. The chamfering on one end of a clamp is completely out of square. The T-slot nuts have raised burrs on the edges which mean they will not fit into the slots on my Bridgeport without spending my valuable time to clean them up. Very disappointing, I expected a lot better from HHIP.

Tolerances are what would be expected. There are burrs that will need filed off, as other customers said.My issue is that the T-nut shoulders are listed to be 1.125”, but measure 0.9815”. My first project will need to be making better T-nuts.Aside from that, all pieces are there, and as expected from first review.

The t-nuts do not fit into the slots on the big drill press from harbor freight.

You get what you pay for. The tooling seems ok, and will work fine for what I’m doing. The carrier however is terrible. Plastic, and ill fitting for certain things like the nuts and t-slots.

Giving it two stars because the studs and nuts all mesh well without binding, and the t-nuts are cut so that the studs will not drive straight through them. It's not completely useless, just misleadingly described. The nuts, straps and studs are mostly fine. They work. The studs aren't all exactly straight, the nuts aren't all exactly the same size (I'm not talking a couple thou - I'm talking visually distinct), and the straps don't bend/deflect an appreciable amount under reasonable torque. However, none of these parts are hardened at all. The steel they are made from may be a bit stiffer than plain old mild steel, but a cheap file bites in without hesitation (this file can't scratch more than mild steel) and the thin ends of several step blocks are folded-over without breaking or cracking. Can't bend hardened steel this thin to this degree without at least *some* stress fractures - we're talking foil-thin in a couple cases. Case-hardening doesn't necessarily run very deep, depending on how long the process was allowed to take, but this is zero. No hardening. None. On top of this, a few of the step blocks were machined incorrectly, resulting in the steps being cut in at an angle. Luckily, they are parallel to the bottom surface, so the block will simply sit at a slight angle to the strap - still functional, just not right. The holder/index is a piece of stamped sheet metal acting as the back and bottom, with the index itself being a molded block of plastic. It works. It's adequate.Do not buy this set. The $15 price premium you face does not buy you more accurate machining, proper hardening, or anything really - it's just money burned. I'd return this set myself in favor of one of the cheaper options, but due to current events, all shipments take several weeks and I've got work to do this weekend. The $15 in my pocket isn't worth the extended delay.I have pics of what I'm describing, but there is not currently an option to attach them - will update if this changes.

I spent a bit more to purchase this set over competing offerings because it was machined from barstock of a known composition instead of cast from semi-steel. This set also had more pieces and seemed to offer greater versatility in use. The only complaint I have is that the burr at the top of the step blocks should have been removed. I will file them off myself but, this will leave an area not protected by Parkerization like the rest of the part.

This set is a good value, but save your money and get the standard 58 piece kit. The one I received wasn't de-burred, not a big deal to correct. Just thought the Ultra Quality set would of been checked.
