The first line in the product description reads as follows and is lie.“Sturdy Metal Construction: This new version features a full metal body, including louvers, mesh cover, fan body, and connecting parts, ensuring durability and resistance to deformation during transportation. The upgraded motor also provides a longer lifespan”All of the connection points for the louvers are make from cheap, brittle, plastic. Basically every point was broken when I received it. Buy from somewhere else.

J'ai acheté ce ventilateur en avril donc pas de retour possible. Il a fonctionné 5 semaines. Je me fie beaucoup aux avis lorsque j'achète un produit sur Amazon, alors si ça peut aider quelqu'un, n'achetez pas ce ventilateur, il n'est pas durable en plus de mener un vacarme incroyable.

Was easy to install. It’s exhausts a good quantity of air from the enclosure. Only thing I want to add is a temperature / humidity switch so it comes on automatically.

I recently installed the HG Power 12" Shutter Exhaust Fan with Speed Controller in my workshop, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. The “filter” or screen, seems to be added as an afterthought. You need to disassemble the fan from the shutter to install the screen, and then drill holes, to accommodate the screws. The fan then had to be “adjusted” with a pry bar and a screw driver to keep the fan from rubbing on the screen. The screen, as expected, does cut down on the air flow. They included a cut resistant glove to assist in mounting without injury. They did not include any mounting screws. That surprised me. Once installed and operating, the fan and shutter seems to work well, and it is very quiet. Still, it was inexpensive, and seems to work as advertised. As of this review, it has been running for 18 hours without issue. Addendum- So, the fan as been running, non stop through this incredible heatwave. 90 - 100 degree temperatures, every day, which is unusual for our area. I have upgraded the product to 4 stars. It does not rub, it is quiet and the operation seems flawless. I am pleased with the purchase.

The fan works as expected. It is quiet and it moves a fair amount of air. However, the included screen does not come attached. You must remove the fan housing from the louvered frame, makes holes in the screen, then reattach the fan housing. The bolts securing the housing are just long enough and can be a pain to reinstall. When reinstalling, two of the four housing mounts snapped off the housing. I don't have time go through the return process and get another one, plus is was most of the way installed. Also one of the plastic louver pivots was loose and fell out twice while installing.

This was purchased to install in a generator enclosure. The fan is very heavy for its size. That means the motor is heavy duty and made well. The aluminum fan enclosure is well made and the shutters operate perfectly when the fan is on. The included and connected 8 foot cord has an inline on-off switch. When off, the shutters close properly. I don't expect insect entry will be a problem. The enclosed screen is nice and well made but I don't plan on using it.

The instructions are pretty much non-existent and there are now screws! The holes for the screws are quite large. I spent almost an hour looking for screws and washers to hold it in place.Rating it high because it seems to move a lot of air! Once it’s warmer, I’ll update my review.
