I was considering the plastic hand wheels for a few dollars less but after reading reviews of both them and the heyous aluminum had wheels with the folding handles I knew they would be the best for two reasons. I trust the aluminum to be a superior material for strength and longevity. The center bore was the right size for me to tap and thread onto an 5/8" x 11T threaded rod for a custom project. Having the handle when needed but being able to fold when not is an excellent upgrade to my project. It folds and deploys easily and it is solid. It will work well for me. It doesn't weigh much which is an added bonus!sd

Costs the same as the plastic crap. Cast aluminum. Handle folds or removes. If you need a small 4" handwheel (say, for a Bridgeport downfeed) this beats the others hands down.

I mounted this on my Jet drum sander. The original plastic handle snapped off. The handle on this wheel folds out of the way and doesn't snag on the machine cover. I drilled and tapped a set screw in the hub to mount onto the sander. I have been using it for about 2 months and it is working out real good.

I bought this to replace a missing hand wheel for blade tilting on a used Rigid table saw. The 1/2" is not really 1/2". It's slightly smaller (12mm) than 1/2" which I just drilled it out to 1/2". I then drilled & tap a set screw in key way area since saw shaft is half moon design. So just a few modifications I got it to work with the saw. I think there's a new Rigid crank handle that I could buy but didn't want to pay 3x. Overall great price for a nice looking folding crank handle.
