This jack appears to be well made, and it works! I raised the front of my range to adjust the leveling, and then lowered it nice and easy. That last part is especially important, since many or most hand jacks lift fine, but have no controlled lowering. Instead, those "bad" ones have a button that just drops the item with a bang. I know, because I first (accidentally) bought one of those, and both wife and I were surprised that it had no mechanism to slowly lower lifted items.

Nice piece of equipment. The instructions were printed SO SMALL that I had to use a magnifying glass to read them.Thaks

Sadly, the piece of furniture I need to lift has a decorative frame 5” above the floor, and so I can’t get the jacks close enough to the bottom of the piece for them to function correctly. They probably would work fine otherwise…

I NEVER write reviews. These worked so well I felt the need to write one. I bought these to help with a 350lb+ compressor change out and was worried that these would not work the way I was hoping for. They lifted the compressor with ease and gave me enough lift to get my strut under it to remove. I have already recommended this to my entire company I work for.

I read numerous reviews on this and several lifts. I learned what to look for on the negative reviews, after dismissing bad reviews by people who probably have no business using this thing. I almost didn’t buy them because in a comparison of equal quality lifts, these were the lightest! That didn’t sit well with me until I read another review on these, and the writer said they were heavy. Thinking the 1.9# may then have been a misprint, I bought them.I got them today and I’m very happy! One can see these are built with strong material. No sheet metal. They did feel a little heavy, so I got my scales out and by-golly, 1.9# !!!Did a quick lift test on a large wooden TV stand. Worked like a charm! The only thing that bugged me initially is, the “fast” down button, compared to the slow down button looks like it’s depressed and might not lift. That is not the case, it’s supposed to look that way. The slow down tab works well. But one might think initially, they should align while not in use. I’m sure mechanical needs caused them to be this way, but I’m over it. Great tool! They stamped ruler is difficult to read. But if it were gone completely, I wouldn’t care. It’s not a deal breaker. What matters is it’s strong and can lift!Bottom line. These things are worth the money! Looking forward to using them on projects that will arise. Will for sure recommend these things to friends & family! Good job Herron!

Herron really cares what people say about their products ! I didn't think anyone would reach out to find out why I was disappointed, but within 2 days Herron got ahold of me about my review. Needless to say this is an upstanding company, and responsibly sources quality overseas companies. The listing on Amazon website has been updated to reflect the correct country of origin. They offered to credit me, but I had already used the jacks and turnedthe creditdown. They are definitely a quality build and function better than I expected. Customer satisfaction is one of Herron companies top priorities. I won't hesitate to buy from them in the future.

Used these to lift up a 300 lb safe and they held up great and worked flawlessly. Was worried about how well the construction would be as similar products have reviews about the base being made too thin and them bending. Happy to say I had no issues and lifting the safe worked flawlessly. The ratcheting down both slow and fast is crucial and would highly recommend this product over the ones that only have a single lever to drop the hand lift. Well worth getting for any project, especially when working solo and the price makes it a no brainer compared to the Original Viking Arm

Even with a heavy load the are not too hard to work. Slow release is a must in my view which is why I chose this over the many other options
