The compressed air motor has an internal piston which is powered by compressed air. This piston moves up and down with a small piston rod and so it delivers an appropiate amout of oil to an appropriate cylinder with every stroke.
These kind of hydraulic pumps can often be found at shop presses and motorcycle lifts with pneumatic drive.
