I needed something to fit in the side storage pockets of a sailboat cockpit, so we didn't have to blast the cabin speakers while sailing. These worked perfect and sound decent. I also got them at a great price as an Amazon return.

I should've listened to other reviews. Ordered two sets (four total speakers). Currently, less than 2 weeks later, only 1 of them is still working. Two of them arrived with barely a drop of hot glue holding on the outer rim on and fell apart just while I was taking the wires out. They do not come with gaskets so I used extra sealant, but even being waterproof didnt help keep three of them from just stopping working after a little over a week. I might try to reach out for support but honestly I'm depressed and dont want to have to deal with amazon to get replacements shipped out, then drain the hot tub and reinstall 3 of them all over again.

I purchased these to replace the OEM speakers in my spa that routinely die several minutes after the warranty expires. Replacing the one non-working speaker I noticed the sound quality was terrible compared to the original speakers. Thinking I may have got a bad one I swapped in the 2nd speaker... same thing. Sounds like the music is coming from a 55 gallon drum. These are getting returned and I guess I'll buy more OEMs. They don't last long buy at least they sound great while they work.Addendum: After returning these speakers and ordering something else Herdio reached out to explore a remedy to my situation in responseto my review. This speaks highly of their customer support. I've raised to 3 stars due to that. In light of the many reviews praising sound quality it's a mystery why mine sounded like crap.

Worked ok for the replacement of my Solera RV awning speakers. A little bigger than what would actually fit, but with a little ingenuity and a saw…I made them work. If you are looking to replace the speakers on your Solera awning, don’t buy these, just buy the actually Lippert replacement speakers and top and bottom housing. Will cost you $50 more, but well worth the extra money to get the original replacement. If you are looking for quality outdoor speakers for your house or boat or any other location, these are the speakers for you.

Speakers started out good. Over the period of a few months they started sticking (magnet would not move the cone). You could take the grill off the speaker and push it a few times to break it free and it would work. Now it seems like the moisture has caused them to rust internally. I can hear the speaker grind as it plays. I would say water resistant at best. The speakers are sitting at a 20% angle at most so water would tend to lay on the speaker.UPDATE. Without even asking for replacement, Herdio sent me a replacement set of speakers. Possibly a manufacture defect? Other speaker is still going strong. Customer service is so important in my book. rating changed from 3 star to 5.

I installed these on a Harley Davidson in an already set of speakers enclosed in a housing that had the same size speaker but of poor quality. These speakers are a night and day difference. I Did have to modify the speakers some to remove the one piece grill but not a real issue with a Dremel. Doing a lot of motorcycle stereo installs of every type these are by far the best for the money and size. And the power rating is on the money unlike others who claim high wattage and the speaker blow's out with half the rated power.
