But, these pulleys look and feel like the kind of hardware I've been handling and using in shops for decades, so I guess it's the same thing. What I know is that they are heavy enough and are well enough made that I won't hesitant to put them up and start using them as part of my DIY home gym set up.The bolt does come out easily enough tight the right tools and the bearings are smooth and heavy.Without knowing exactly what they are made of, I'm happy with them.

I was quite impressed when I saw these pulleys. I was not familiar with the yellow/gold/pink coloring that can result from zinc plating. Sure enough, so-called yellow zinc plating makes the metal much more resistant to rust. The base metal of the pulley is very strong steel. The pulley wheels spin easily and smoothly with no wiggle on "double bearings." That was another unfamiliar term to me; it simply means that there are two rows of bearings instead of just a single row. Apparently, according to the experts, "Double row ball bearings are more robust than single row and can handle higher loads."I especially like that these pulleys can be taken apart, and the bearings can even be removed and replaced. So rather than tossing out and replacing the pulleys when they begin to act up, I can simply open them, diagnose the problem, resolve it, then close them up and put them back to use.Although each pulley is rated for over 500 lbs, I am simply using them to position our bird feeder over a backyard creek. We don't want dropped birdseed to attract rodents, so we need to use a pulley system to position the feeder over a creek that will wash any seed downstream and into a pond where maybe the ducks will enjoy them. These will work perfectly.

My review of the HENBOW Pulley Wheel 2" Rope Cable Pulley Block U-Type Groove Heavy Duty Pulley Alloy Steel Wall Mount Silent Detachable Duplex Bearings Small Pulley Wheel for Lifting Material Handing and MovingThese are very solid and heavy duty for their size. I made my own lat pull down machine and used the wrong kind of pulleys and they are shredding the cable. These HENBOW Pulley Wheels have a wide "U" shape and I'm sure they will solve the problem of my cable shredding. They are well made and roll freely. The rated weight capacity is much higher than I will ever need so this is the perfect solution for my home made exercise equipment.

Seem to be made well and they turn fine. No screws or hardware included so make sure you get the hardware you require in advance to attach them. They are able to be disassembled as they have bolts. They seem to be in alignment with what the description and photos show.*Note*Vine reviewers are invited to select products on offer which Amazon then sends for free. I'm not an engineer or rigger by profession but based on past experience with load lifting hardware I'd say these pulleys are serviceable but not particularly impressive from a quality standpoint. The bearings run smooth and the pulley wheels are very hefty. Quite a bit of play is evident between the bearing center hole and fully threaded 3/8" cap screw supporting the pully wheel. The support screw is rated SD 4.8 meaning it is an ordinary grade, not tempered for high shear strength. A nylon insert locking nut secures the screw to the bracket. The The mounting bracket material is approximately 3/32" thick (measured with calipers). My measurements match dimensions in the listing within a millimeter or so. See the picture relative to a pen for relative size of the pulley. All surfaces appear to be well coated with protective yellow zinc plating.As noted I'm not an engineer so I don't know if the 550 lb working load limit indicated in the listing is realistic or not but given my general sense regarding the quality of these pulleys I'd probably operate comfortably below that limit, certainly in applications which involve overhead lifting.I'm going to use these pulley to lift an aluminum extension ladder up to the rafters in my workshop for storage and I'm confident they are more than adequate for that purpose.
