I purchased this after receiving a warning message on the dash that my coolant level needed to be checked, followed by another message that my windshield washer fluid was low. With some research I discovered that both of these sensors share a circuit (or something like that, I don't know—I'm not savvy with electrical engineering), so when one fails, it trips a message for both.I guessed that it was this sensor that was faulty, and swapped it out. It cleared both messages from the dash and I have not seen anything since.

Perfect fit & like-for-like replacement of the original on my 2011 Mercedes Sprinter 3500. Comes with tank grommet already in place. I removed the grommet first, installed it, then installed the sensor. No issue.

Worked perfectly on 2000 Mercedes S-430. Solved problem of windshield washer fluid low light and coolant low light remaiming on. Simple fix.

Do you have an error popping up on your Mercedes indicating to check the coolant or windshield washer level fluid? Did you check the levels and noticed that they are all fine? Chances are either this sensor or the coolant sensor went bad. Just replace it and you're good to go. Worked for me. And no more annoying error messages.
