A great product with straightforward and clear instructions written in real English. The installation process requires some manual dexterity but is within reach of the average DIY-er. The threads of the coil, when properly installed, are as good if not better than the original threads. Better than drilling and tapping oversize, as the original size fastener works in the repaired thread.

This is a Heli-Coil thread repair kit. I got exactly what I expected and love when I have one of these kits to repair stripped threads. Way more professional than using a bigger bolt. If you work with fasteners on a regular basis, see stripped threads regularly, you're a fool if you don't get these kits.

Daughter bought a cheap camera light and stand made you know where, and the threads for the tightening knob screw stripped out first use. I was able to repair the threads with the Helicoil set. These are quality sets that will get you out of a stripped inside thread issue. I "upgraded" the threads from Metric to Standard and replaced the knob screw also, in case the screw gets lost.
