Works great, hood quality and accurate. Its easy to use, put the battery in and go. The littlies and hubby had lots of fun taking the temperature of everything, cats, dogs, radiators you name it.

The ones for cats are tiny and cheap quality. This is a better option.

I installed a Chinese Diesel Heater in my garage workshop and wanted to make sure there were no issues with the exhaust pipe getting too hot. The exhaust was well over 400 F so I wrapped it with fiberglass heat tape and it keeps the temp down to around 225 F. I also have been able to find air leaks all around the house.

This works great when you need to know the temperature right away when making candles. I love using this! Easy to use point and squeeze trigger temp comes up with lighted digital numbers.

Cheap, easy to use and gets you a temperature reading in the ballpark, depending on what you're using it for. I used this to measure the temp of the contents of a slow cooker whose settings are just "high" "low" or "warm." I did measure other objects indoors and outdoors whose temperatures I was pretty sure about, and this came pretty close every time. So I'm confident in its relative accuracy.

The device will get you within 5 degrees of the true temperature which will work for most occasions that you need this for. This is not good for testing people nor is it good for when you need something super accurate; however, it is not meant to be the end all, be all device for the price. It is super easy to use, mostly accurate, and it works like a charm. For the price, it is the best you will get. If you need something completely accurate, you will need to pay more. I use it for my reptile tanks and I just need it within a few degrees and this device has made it easy. My reptiles are thriving, all thanks to this device! It should be noted that it will change quickly on you since it can distinguish temperature quickly so do not think the device is really inaccurate.

Got this mainly to 'rule out' diagnose my SUV engine operating temperature constantly running LOW, plus I always wanted to have an infrared temp digital gun as part of my tool collection. So far this product has given me the accurate temp measurements of my engine coolant differences between upper & lower radiator hoses to help identify my car thermostat problem, which were also VERIFIED with similar temp measurements concurrently using my real-time Torque Pro OBDII phone app simultaneously.Easy to use, arrived on time in undamaged condition. Well worth the money. Used only a couple of days, but so far no problems.

Since we are in a heat spell I thought I check on how our air conditioning is doing. Since my intake is so high we decided for the convenience we would purchase the Helect Non-Contact Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer. And boy are we pleased. Read on for our observations when using the Helect Thermometer. -- ACCURATE: I read the difference between the AC intake and output should be a minimum of 14 deg F. At first I drug the ladder in the house, reached as high as I could to tape a analog thermometer on the intake and then the same thing on the output vent. We later compared those readings to the Helect Thermometer and saw the same temperature readings. We measured at other locations where a thermoter was already present such as the house thermostat, outside thermometer and great, we got the same readings everywhere! -- LONG REACH: What a convenience to stand on the floor, point the thermoter whereever you need and get an accurate reading. In our case we made measurements up to 25ft away and found them to be accurate. -- LOVE THE LASER: The laser is bright and easy to find, especially inside and really essential to be able to pinpoint the spot on which you need to measure. -- COULDN'T BE EASIER TO USE: Just point, pull the trigger, position the laser dot on the area to measure and within 1 second you have a reading. When the trigger is held down the reading will continue to reflect the spot where the laser is, even when moving it side to side to make comparisons.CONCLUSION: Could be simpler to use and amazingly accurate. What a great value for such an incredible convenience!

I bought the temp gun for my brother. He may not really need it much, except he earns a lot more than me, so what was I going to buy him? He sometimes grills stuff outdoors.I have another one that I bought for myself previously. I pointed it at some equipment I was trying to fix to see if part of it was overheating, and it seems like no part of it was overheating to a degree that would indicate damage. So it served its purpose just fine. It isn't complicated to use and it doesn't use up the battery unnecessarily. It can easily switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back. It has an LCD readout I believe, to show the temperature digitally. It takes a reading very quickly so I just have to turn it on and point it. I measured inside my freezer and it showed something like 20 degrees Fahrenheit just as I expect. I pointed it at a spot on the gas stovetop right over where the pilot light is burning and I think I recall it read something like 170 F or 200 F. I know that spot burns if I touch it so it made a lot of sense.I believe it's fairly accurate but stars are a stupid system for rating the accuracy of a temperature gun. Maybe it means you can point it at the night sky and it can count the number of stars you are pointing it at! LOL!
