This table is listed as both a desk and a table for hospital use. I think it would work better as a hospital or bed tray as it’s lacking a lip on the bottom to keep a laptop from sliding off, and the desk does not have the ability to tilt to make typing more comfortable. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. Assembly wasn’t too bad but the instructions had hardly any text and the pictures were very basic. I would have liked to see an instructional setup video on the website to make it easier to put together. The unit has high quality casters that glide along the floor easily. The pneumatic lift works well but once it’s raised you have to push down pretty hard to lower it.The basket is a nice touch for holding small items to keep them off the table. But the wire mesh basket has large gaps in it making it impractical to hold small bottles or other items. I solve this problem by placing a thin towel inside the basket as a liner. My biggest disappointment with this table is the very utilitarian look of the table top. It’s a thin piece of sheet metal with exposed screws and it just has an unfinished look to it, like it belongs in a factory rather than by a beside. I think they could make the unit look a lot more attractive if they made the table surface a bit more design friendly.Otherwise I’m pleased with the functionality and overall build quality of the desk and plan to use it bedside to keep drinks and other small items handy.
