Have you ever wanted to try crabbing but didn't have a boat? Have you ever done it with a fishing pole? Imagine hanging out on the beach and reeling in something other than a fish and preparing a crab dish for the family dinner tonight. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have caught crabs in many areas along the west coast, from the jetty, piers and surf. We have used both hoop nets and crab traps. Hoop nets are only best when you have a boat, but on land, it would be castable crab traps hands down, as you can hunt from anywhere while people tend to crowd up at the piers. We have tested several different products and experimented with a variety of materials to create something that has everything we want in our fishing crab traps. Most important of all, we wanted to have a great time catching crabs with friends and family and not fixing things. We want the same for you.

Tossed this from a pole off the dock and caught a few crab. It worked really well. Eventually a sea lion or something started to chew on it and that’s the only issue we had — but no way to plan for that! I’ll definitely be getting some more.

I took this out for a spin recently and I couldn’t be happier. These traps are legit and more than capable of catching crabs. The cage is sturdy and the loops bounced right back effortlessly. I’m just sad the crab I caught were too small to keep from this outing. Next time!!

Gave it to my husband for his birthday. He liked it so much that he ordered two more.He doesn’t trust it on a fishing line because of the weight so he tied it to a rope.

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet but it looks to be very well made. In my opinion it’s worth the money compared to others I’ve seen.

These snares are well worth it! They work very well and at the price, it doesn’t hurt as much if you lose one.
