2022 dodge ram with a filter tightened for life. Tried 3 oil filter pliers to no avail due in part to the small door to access filter. This tool has a really poor bolt running through it, threads are rough as what you get with a worn out die. Pretty cheap and poorly made. Hope it gets the tight filter off.

Looks like it would work good on a larger filter than what is on my John Deere S100.

CONCLUSION: I give this a 100% recommendation. BUT, the product page says the capacity is 9cm (3.5") to 15cm (5.9"). It is not. The capacity is measured by the smallest diameter of the wire band. As shown in the photos, the minimum diameter is a bit more than 3" and the maximum diameter is around 5". So, before you order, make sure this will fit what you want to turn. I'm happy that I ordered this tool and expect to get a lot of good use out of it.TESTING: I didn't order this to use with automobile oil filters. Rather, i wanted a wrench for smooth round objects that I didn't want surfaced damaged by sharp-toothed jaws. This has dull jaws and I can blunt them by using strips of high friction rubber, EDP, etc. The design is sound, although I would like to see a few refinements (like a washer between the upper drive nut and the clamp body and another one or two welds to hold the nut to the drive bold shaft and a better handle mechanism). Notwithstanding the slight roughness in the production, the wrench is strong. The drive bolt is thick and the nuts are heavy. Metal strap is 1/32" thick. The operation is kind of quirky. The plastic handle does not turn the drive bolt. It is loose and slides along the bolt. It merely serves as a comfortable way to hold the wrench and serves as a stop that prevents you from opening the wrench too far and damaging the strap. Tightening and loosening the wrench is done by turning the hex head of the bolt. You can actually do that by hand, but I'd keep a wrench nearby. As seen in the photo, I lifted a quart of paint off the counter. The grip was solid. This thing does what is supposed to.

This tool is solid, and its design is awesome! I've taken the liberty of making some adjustments to this oil filter removal wrench, as you can see in my images, to accommodate smaller filters and provide it with more grip if needed. The original design is fantastic for tackling even the most stubborn, stuck oil filters, thanks to its robust steel construction and a strong band. The tool is designed for the most challenging oil filter removal tasks, but, like any product, there's always room for improvement, which is why I made the modifications you can view in my images. The steel band is exceptionally strong, and it took a considerable effort to drill through it. You'll need high-quality steel drill bits to work through this band. This tool can handle a variety of oil filters without any modifications, but it may not be suitable for filters smaller than 3.5 inches in diameter unless you get creative, as I did, and perform this mod. The tool is so durable that making these adjustments is worth your time. The price may be on the expensive side, but in my opinion, this tool is built to last a lifetime. I might even make further modifications to the other side of the strap if necessary, but for now, I believe this adaptation will do the job.On the practical side, despite the long handle that may make it challenging in tight spots, all you usually need is a small, slight turn to loosen the filter, and it usually comes off by hand. The tool's long handle may pose challenges in tight spaces, but the overall design is excellent, and it is made of super-strong steel. Check out my images for reference.

The DZGKGM wrench is a solidly constructed, heavy-duty oil filter wrench. It is adjustable to fit oil filters ranging from 3-½” to 5-½”. The total length of the wrench varies from about 12-½” to 15-½” depending on how far you open it. The strap has little dots stamped into it to help it grab. The strap is attached to the handle with Screws and washers. The bottom that goes against the filter has teeth. There is a non-slip PVC handle cover, but it is not secured and rotates freely. It would be nice if it were secured, but this is not a problem I just simply make sure my hand grabs the nut at the end of the handle when I loosen or tighten it by hand. You can also use a wrench to turn the nut to snug the tool tightly against the filter. Other than the PVC handle cover the tool is completely constructed of metal. I was able to loosen a filter that other wrenches failed to loosen. With the extended handle, you can put a lot of torque on the tool to loosen stubborn filters. The wrench is longer than most others, so you just need to make sure that you have plenty of clearance. I am quite pleased with this wrench.
