When I received a four box order, one of the boxes had odd spots on both the lid the storage box itself. So I decided to order another set and return the original order. I thought maybe it was a fluke. I just got the other four boxes and all four of them have these chemical spots on the inside. There is no way this is safe for coin storage. I called Guard House directly, and the customer service rep immediately redirected me to Amazon, even though Amazon directed me to them with a phone number. To be clear, the affiliate seller is not the one who manufactured these boxes. Guard House needs to take ownership for this ridiculously poor quality product. Save your coins; don’t buy these boxes find quality boxes elsewhere!

Item is about as described. I would not refer to it as heavy duty. It is a cardboard box with nice plastic type material covering the outside that has a leather texture on it. I am satisfied with the product. It is properly designed in terms of measurements for proof sets even while in the box. They fit snugly and the box is perfect for my proof set storage needs. There are some areas where the outer covering of the box seems like it will peel off more than it has but not enough to return it. I did not find them defective. Additionally, It might be a bit on the pricey side for what it is. I rated it four stars because I wouldn’t call it heavy duty. They are definitely better quality than a standard shoe box and I purchased two more.
