These are good, medium strength, donut-shaped magnets. Regarding the cost, I have no idea if the $3.99 price for the pair is appropriate or not. The outer diameter is one 1 3/4 inches and thickness of about 3/16 of an inch. They are ceramic magnets, so they are brittle and can break easily if dropped on a hard surface. So, I guess it mostly depends on your intended use as to how good these magnets are.

Quite powerful magnets. I have them holding some items on the fridge right now and pulling them off takes some work, so they do hold firmly.

I purchased these magnets to see how well they work to hold larger items--a multi-page document, for example--on the refrigerator. I've had issues with standard-size magnets, even strong ones. These ring magnets are ideal. The biggest problem is separating the magnets out of the box because they're so powerful. They work perfectly for my purpose: the document is now in place on the refrigerator, and it only comes off when I want it to!

These are basically two good strength, ceramic donut magnetsThey come in handy, not only for holding things on your refrigerator, but also for different projects that you may have.

Two magnet rings come in a cardboard box. They are just regular magnets, not high strength. One of the pictures in the description is wrong. Use the information from the box itself, it is correct.

These are high-quality extra-strength ceramic magnets. They are VERY strong - it takes some work to get them apart! Be careful to keep them far, far away from your smartphone or watch. They are similar to the ones used in automotive applications such as inside of transmissions, to capture any loose metal chips. But they'll work great on your fridge for items that are too heavy for a regular fridge magnet to hold up.Note that, being ceramic magnets, they're a bit brittle - you don't want to drop them on hard surfaces as they might chip. Treat them with care though, and they'll keep their power for a very long time.Similar ring magnets come in several sizes - I'd consider these medium-sized, as I have others both larger and smaller. The price is fair and the quality is excellent.
