I have broken many of the typical yellow and green traditional hand juicers in the past. Most of the time now days, the limes are so pulpy and contain little juice you have to squeeze to death to get maybe an oz. of juice! That is why I break them...Now that I have hand problems, I need to find a better way to minimize the pressure on my grip. So, I decided to give this juicer a try. It is different and uses slightly different mechanics. Right from picking up this squeezer I could tell it was different.It is flat and more heavy than the others. The construction is made from thicker metal that is chromed. The hinge points are not just a aluminum rivet. The mechanics are different and you use two hands to squeeze so you need less hand pressure.I decided to do a comparison against one of the traditional ones using the same limes. This squeezer produced more juice using less hand strength.The down side is the business end is smaller so the fruit needs to be cut a little smaller to fit into the opening. But it produced more juice and was easier on the hands and I did not feel the juicer bending in my hand!It is a little harder to clean inside of the squeezing end but a deal breaker.Because this is flat it fits in the kitchen drawer much better than the others that clunk around.I recommend this squeezer. Great value for the price.

I squeeze a LOT of citrus, both for recipes, water and cocktails. My old, more generic style citrus juicer had enameling starting to chip so I was looking for a replacement. This is almost perfect. I love that it folds flat for storage. The metal is heavy and solid, so it feels like it'll last forever. the folding mechanism gets out SO much more juice than my previous one. The only thing I don't like is the filter for seeds. It doesn't work as well to keep seeds out of what I'm juicing into and the seeds it does capture are more difficult to get out when cleaning than the more generic style of juicer. Aside from that, it's great.

I kept forgetting to get a juicer for making cilantro lime rice— which made juice extraction less than usual. I got this and it made the extraction so much better- without hurting my hands. Its also so much easier to store in the kitchen drawer — doesnt get stuck and jam the whole drawer
