What a revelation to get a desktop dispenser for packing tape! Handheld tape guns are really tiresome for repetitive tape jobs like taping down your FedEx label or taping closed a bubble-wrapped item. The guard over the teeth isn't decorative: the teeth are SHARP and can be accidentally brushed into. This item has made some time consuming jobs much easier.

This is literally perfect and saves me so much time! So glad I came across this. Definitely weight to it and bottom is made so it doesn't slide all over your work space. Tearing the tape is as easy as putting the tape on the roll. Would definitely recommend if you want to make your life a little easier. I will definitely be purchasing another one.

I thought this was going to work a lot better than it does.The idea behind the design is to be able to pull out tape and cut it with one hand. Trouble is, even though it's rather heavy and comes with a non-slip base, it still wants to move and creep when you pull tape out of it. This is especially true if you're using a 2'' wide roll that's really sticky. I kept trying to pull out tape with my right hand while holding the dispenser back with my left hand. Well that wouldn't be so bad, but THERE'S NOTHING TO HOLD ON TO while you're trying to hold it in place! It's maddening! The sides are smooth so you have nothing to grab, and so you have to squeeze the sides! If there were some small protruding handles or grips at the back end of the dispenser that would solve everything. Maybe I'll install my own.

This is the best tape dispenser I've ever purchased. It is very heavy duty and only requires one hand usage! Most tape dispensers require you hold it in place with one hand and tear off piece of tape with your other hand. I've purchased many brand name dispensers over the years and they've all been the same. Looks nice but not heavy enough to stay in place. This tape dispenser does not require you to hold in place. It is heavy and sturdy and does not move when you tear off piece of tape. Important to me when wrapping Christmas presents. It has been a time saver! Even comes with a safety guard when not in use. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a sturdy tape dispenser.

What I love about this is that it's heavy enough to stay mostly put when I'm grabbing tape with one hand, working on holding a box shut with my other hand. When the roll gets smaller, it slides a little bit on my plastic table and that's why I'm giving it four stars instead of five, if I were the manufacturer, I would add just a tiny bit of more weight to the base to avoid the sliding altogether but it's a really good product. It looks good and cuts clean. The tape doesn't always stay on the edge for your next pull but hasn't been a big issue so far.
