The acrylic backing is too thin to support the weight of the 6 pipettes it's supposed to hold. It bends under their weight; the angle of the backing is too low in the first place, so the bending does not allow the pipettes to "hang" on the stand; rather, they lay on it and slide off with the slightest disturbance.The racks themselves, that hold the pipettes in place, are too close together vertically- so the pipette rests on the bottom of the handle rather than hanging from the thumb guard.So all-in-all you will bump it, it will spring back and launch the pipettes off the rack, hopefully you don't have any open strip tubes on magnetic stands when this happens.

Beautiful pipette stand. It is more blue than the photo but still translucent. It fits all of our 10-1000 uL pipettes ( which are an assortment of brands). It does not fit our larger 5 and 10 mL pipettes. For those we bought a different style stand ( Lab Linear Pipettor Stand from JoanLab on Amazon). Both products were a better value than the ones from our designated scientific supplier.
