I liked the design of this cat bed when I saw it. It required no drilling and looked easy to set up. It arrived with the track of one of the pieces busted, but I still put it together and tried to install it in my vinyl kitchen window for my kitty. The instructions are almost unintelligible, but I managed to decipher then with the help of my fiance.The lip of my kitchen window does not allow this design to sit the way it's supposed to. I looked at all my windows in the house and they are all designed with a lip to help open them. None of my windows were designed to accommodate something like this. I ended up sending it back. The materials are very cheap, so I don't know how long it would have lasted anyway. I didn't even try the heated mat to see if it worked before I sent it back. It also seemed very cheap and flimsy. This might work for you if you had the right style of window, but it's still very poor materials and confusing instructions.

I battled through the assembly instructions (which may have been missing a page). The wood construction is sturdy and the hammock is made from tough material. The bed is extremely cozy. I gave this 4 stars because the Velcro in the hammock won’t hold. My cat just fell through. I plan on sewing it permanently. As for the heated insert, I placed this on another cat perch I have and they love it. My cats are literally fighting over it. It was worth the purchase just for the heated bed! 😝

This is a great little cat bed! I love that it has the option of being placed on floor as a cat bed, or converted to sit in the window sill. I also love that it has 3 heat settings and has an adjustable timer for automatic shut off. It put together very easily and the materials are all very good quality! It’s good solid wood and not cheap or flimsy. It offers the best price for all of the options you get.

My cat loves to sit on my electric blanket, so I decided to purchase this heated bed for him. The first thing that I noticed when I opened the box was that it was actually made of solid wood. Everything you need to assemble this bed is included in the box - no additional tools are needed. Installation was fairly easy and when assembled, the wooden frame was very sturdy.The bed comes with a removable heated pad which has three heat settings and an adjustable 24-hour timer. Note that the temperature settings on the controller are shown in Celsius (35°C = 95°F, 45°C = 113°F, 55°C = 131°F). There is a hard plastic sheathing around the cable to shield it from cat teeth.The bed itself is very soft and has a non-slip bottom. It is washable and can be used either on or off the wooden stand.My cat supervised the entire assembly process and gave me his purr of approval!

I see the price has come down another $5 since I ordered, but even at the original price I think this is a great value. I did not try installing this in a window, but I think as long as you have a good ledge to grab this should be very sturdy. Assembly was easy and I noticed they made some improvements based on past feedback. I guess prior slings only had velcro, now it has velcro and a snap in each corner. This even held my 18-20lb Boston that jumped in. The bed itself is fairly thin but I assume that is so the heat function works better. I do wish there was some positive retention of the bed on the stand (especially if you elevate it) but I can fix that easy enough. What is most amazing to me is the heater. At first I thought I was punked when I saw the heater. It is about the thickness of construction paper. I thought for sure it wouldn't do anything but I was wrong. This thing gets hot and with the controller it is great. This is replacing my pets old heater that was thick like and old school heating pad, this thing you can barely tell is in the bed. And this entire package is cheaper than I pad for just the heater a few years ago.
