This is a great house but the remote to adjust the temperature is inside the house. The cord needs to be. Bit longer too. It’s sturdy and good quality. The feral community cats don’t get in there though. I love that it has an escape door. Over all it’s a good buy.

I'm so happy with this purchase! I've of the best things I've ever ordered in here. I take care of a stray cat outside. She got in on the very first night. She is so happy and warm. This is very waterproof. It rained all week right on the house, but she stayed nice and dry. Thank you so much!!!!

I've only used this for two days, but so far it's working well. Like another review said, the plastic door was folded when it came and it doesn't stay closed very well because of that. Hopefully with time it will. Also, the insert that came with it says that the heating mat is for indoor use only! I guess it means inside the cat house? But it was very easy to put together and seems sturdy. I like the options for temperature control and time.

I purchased this because it is so cold in Michigan and there is a lot of stray cats around. It was super easy to set up and I just go out there in the morning and the evening to reset the timer back to 12 hours. On the second night a kitty was able to find the house and ate some of the cat food. I don't know whose cat or if it's homeless but I'm super happy somebody's using it because it is way below freezing. As far as I'm concerned it is worth every penny. The mat stays nice and warm and there is easy access through the roof so I change out the food. The size is really nice, it could probably fit four or five cats if they get along . I highly recommend if you live in a cold climate for homeless animals. Only thing I would change is the timer, it is nice being able to set it to 12 hours that way I can check the food when I do, but it will turn off if I don't go out there at night to turn it back on. I haven't missed a night yet but I hate to think it turns off and a kitty is in there.

Easy to put together but the heating pad doesn't produce a lot of heat even when set at 110F.

My cat lives outside and I have always just provided him with a tub lined with foam and towels on the front porch. He's big and fat so I ordered the large, it doesn't cost much more. I put this on the front porch, plugged in but I don't run the heat unless it's really cold here in North Carolina. The insulation keeps it nice and warm. It is under a roof but the rain can blow in if it storms. I like that the control is inside and out of the weather. The cord is protected by a corrugated wrap. If your cat is a huge chewer that could be a problem but it works for me. I leave the end window velcro'd shut and he uses the front flap to get in and out. He's a cat - he has zero trouble getting in or out. The clear vinyl doors are a little misshapen from packing but I'm sure they'll relax when summer hits. I could hit them gently with a hair drier if it was a big deal. My cat loves it. He's in there all the time and we can see him in there through the windows. The build quality is very nice with a sturdy frame and well insulated walls. It stormed hard this morning and the rain blew onto the cat house but he was in there snug as a bug. I look forward to more style offerings - maybe like a little white cottage with a red light by the door...
