I bought an EV and the car doesn’t warm up like a gas car. The heat is too strong and drains the battery. This blanket, along with the seat heater from time to time, have made my commute soooo much better! It’s about a 45 minute commute at around 50 degrees. It covers me down to my feet, and up to my shoulders if I choose. I just love it.

Love it. Great for traveling. Live in Northern Ohio on Lake Erie where winters are cold.

When I ordered this blanket I knew it would not be as effective as an AC 110 (house current) electric blanket. However, we do a lot of boondocking and stop at rest/truck areas for the night when we travel, and therefore do not have electric hookups. We have solar panels, but must be careful of how much power we use so as to not discharge the (lead) batteries. I have a propane space heater for the camper but cannot run it all night for safety reasons. So I wanted a blanket to just take the chill off the bed. It worked as I expected. I let it run for about 45 minutes, and it took the chill off and used minimal battery power. (We cannot run the camper furnace because one run, using only the batteries charged by solar, would run both batteries down. And don't forget at night there is no recharging of the solar batteries.) This blanket was as effective as I expected, and its fleecy softness makes it seem warmer, too. But if you expect it to get really warm like house current - it won't. But it might be cozy for a passenger to wrap up in in the vehicle while traveling. Looking forward to being a little more comfy on our next winter travel and overnight on our journey; making the initial entrance in bed less icy. I think it will prove to be, for us, worth the price.

Nice and simple lighty heated 12v blanket. This works perfectly for our suv. The back seat stays pretty cold so we got this for our daughter. It's soft and heats up enough to keep her cozy. She loves the light warpth and it helps on cold winter trips. Would it keep you warm with the heater off I doubt it but is it great supplemental heat for the back of a van or SUV yes.

My wife and I take a lot of long car trips together. Even though the car has dual zone climate control, there are often times that she is just much colder than I am. She would always bring a soft blanket for our trips, but now this electric blanket stays in the car 24/7. She loves the softness of the blanket, along with the variable temperature control. And if the heat is a bit too much, she can just turn it off and still be cozy with the blanket itself. Great product.

This blanket does not get very worn and for you needing it out in the car if you got no heat, I was very disappointed in it… would not recommend it if you’ve got a car without a heater and you’re trying to have warm

I want to preface that I never expected this to get as hot as the high setting w/ a home electric blanket.Simply put, I know a 12 volt lighter plug could NEVER put out the same wattage as a home's electrical outlet. We got this blanket for two reasons. 1) Different temperature tolerances in the car between my wife & myself, especially during road trips & late-night driving. I prefer it cooler while she definitely prefers it to be warmer. 2) Having a large vehicle, we've used this blanket for our kids and/or passengers in the 2nd & 3rd row, as it takes longer for the car to warm up in the back compared to the front.Yes, we have zoned heating & rear heating & A/C in our vehicle. Even then, this blanket most definitely helps those folks who prefer warmer temperatures w/o cooking the others in the car. Not only as a simple blanket, but the heating definitely provides additional warmth. That said, this blanket still did not disappoint. It does get warm to the touch, and I'd say not much slower than most of our other household electric blankets. It does not "resume" being on or the previous setting or timer once energized. So each time it's plugged in, it remains off w/ the default timer setting. Turning on goes from Low -> Medium -> High -> Off. It would be great if it *DID* resume previous settings. Which would allow pre-heating of the blanket when, say, remote-starting the car where the outlet would get energized & the blanket would automatically resume previous heat setting & timer. But I also understand why this could be unsafe & dangerous by starting heating w/o supervision.I don't know if it has an automatic "Cutoff" if the battery gets low (and if so, how well it works). Our vehicles' outlets automatically turn off when the ignition is off, so I didn't have a need to test this. So if your car's outlets don't automatically turn off, be sure to turn off this blanket, else risk draining your battery while parked.Overall, this product has suited us well & I'll very likely be purchasing one or two more for my wife, passenger(s), & my kids.Lastly... Being UL Listed also provides some comfort toward safety.
